If you are the proud owner of a tomtom 1 satnav, and you are Driving on M61 North, comming towards Preston. On junction 8,it will ask you to leave the motorway and go to the slip road, then it will take you on top of the hill, and to a point where the mormon temple is the most obvious building and you cant miss it.Immediately after that,it will direct you back on the motorway. If you are relying totally on the tomtom, you will follow the instructions, only to be directed back on the motorway, after stopping on two traffic lights and unwilingly looking at the large grey temple and wondering what it is.That is strange as the detour doesnt help in anyway. It does not reduce the distance and doesnt save any time.I wonder if there was a Mormon programmer working for tomtom.Well, the temple in chorley near Preston is the Largest Mormon building in Europe, and millions of people using tomtom satnav,if guided (misguided) towards the temple, and then made to stop on two traffic lights in full view of the building?

Knock Knock
@ 2009-10-30 – 20:42:53
Knock on the door, and i see two young guys standing outside.I wonder why two guys are knocking my door at this time in the evening.Opens door, says hello, are you selling something?
Them: No sir,we ar mormans.(in a rich American accent).
Me: Well i am a muslim, but since you are here all the way from across the pond,i will listen to you,go on enlighten me.
Them:_____________...(gone silent,and looking at each other,confused).
Me: I hope you dont expect me or anybody to convert to Mormanism on your first visit, and for that reason it shouldnt matter if i am from another religion.
Them: No sir we dont expect that(once again went silent).
Me: Well then, tell me what you beleive in,and are you the guys who dress up like the 19th century farmers?
Them: No sir those are the Amish people.(and then tells me about morman beleifs).
Me: (Thats better,at lest you are speaking )
Them: Nice to meet you sir,do you know anyone who wants to know about mormans?
Me: (Good question) I dont know many people who want to know about religion in general, and in that context i dont know anybody who will be really waiting for you guys, but since you are on a missio,,try knocking a few doors, and dont mind people being rude to you,and i wish you best of luck.
Them: (Now smiling) Thankyou so much sir, hope you will enjoy the rest of your evening.
Me: same to you my friends, and i do appreciate your visit and the fact that you are participating in a positive activity instead of Drugs and other activities which most youths would prefer at your age, consider yourself lucky.
Them: (Now have a big smile),shakes hands and goes away.
Me: Shuts the door, and comes in feeling better for encouraging two young men on continuing a healthy activity.
(Oh well, they wont say they met some rude and unwelcoming people on their visit to Britain

Twatosaurs

Scientists have rescently discovered that in addition to the monkey genes(you know we are all descendents of the monkeys),some of us have an additional genes which was accidentally introduced in the gene pool.It was a silly mistake by a dinosaur couple, who were bored and trying to play leap frog, and a dirty accident happened during the game,as shown in the picture.Their off spring was the infamous Twatosaurs and is responsible for some of us behaving as utter twats through out their lives.
If you know someone with the twat syndrome, dont blame them.Blame the twatosaurs.

Hell's wrath
@ 2009-10-25 – 15:50:00

The are the less disturbing images of the bomb blast and suicide bombings sites in Pakistan.People living in big cities now see those scenes on regular basis.Accurate reporting of these events are banned by government laws as the scenes are so full of blood and gore that hey look like from a horror movie or even worse. These days things are so bad that you never know if the person sitting next to you is a wired up terrorist or not.The precisions and planning with which these attacks have been carried out cannot be from an isolated angry mullah from the top of a mountain.Much intelligence, planning, training and money was is involved.I wonder who is providing all this and why.

Children passing from in fron t of the Army head quarters near Islamabad. At the time this picture was taken, there were a dozen armed terrosrists holed up in the buildings shown in the back ground, and heavey firing was going on between them and the Army commandoes, including afew gunships looming in the air.Like everybody else the children could hear rhe loud bangs, but due to some reason they were indifferent and didnt change their daily route.Luckily none of them was hurt.

I had a fairly large collection of polished and raw gem stones, but i gifted them out.Once again my collection is slowly growing. Here is my moss agate which i bought from the shop for...well.....75p

Rainbow ponies
@ 2009-10-22 – 16:17:42
Until recently I used to play all sorts of games, provided it has very good graphics, visual and sound effects.
For the last few months i have grown allergic to any game in which blood is spiled, such as those zombie hunting games,or shoot em up games. The only trouble is that almost all popular game titles are shoot em up.
Games like "Cal of Duty" , "Crysis" are the types everybody plays.I used to play online with my brother and some friends. Then all of a sudden i stared to refuse playing thise games.Yesterday i had to admit to them that i am not willing to play any game with blood and gore in it.
So i am being offered Rainbow ponies and barbie dolls to be sent to me as a replacement of all the games i used to play,as i have become a sissy and pansie

FAT COW
@ 2009-10-21 – 23:08:28
The question is....is she really fat? This is a picture of a victorian woman.

She got big thighs and a blubber trunk. But she is a model, and proudly posing in a semi transparent clothing. She got no issues about her body.Go back a few hundred years and here is a prince waving at the women of his harem. No jumbo jusg,no big hooters, and lot of big thighs and rears.Yet they are hand picked women for the royal harem, posing proudly for the prince.Any of these women in this day and age will have self esteem issues due to their physique, and will be seen in a gym most of the time.
The purpose of this blog post is to point out that the concept of beauty has changed over the years, and there is evidence that the things that currently stress out the modern women and give them psycological dilemmas, were once components of beauty.
In my opinion women's standard of beauty is comparable with cars.Decades ago,big chunky cars were teh norm, now sleek and streamlined designs are in vogue.Same with women. -
Wife burners
@ 2009-10-21 – 16:17:50

This kerosene oil or paraffin oil stove has been responsibly for many deaths and family break ups.Luckily its not used anymore, and natural gas has replaced it.
In the south asian countries where women wear lose clothes like these and go to kitchen wearing such clothes.
A woman in my close family died like this. She was happily married to a wealthy business man,and was living in a villa, away from the city. They had two daughters. That was years ago, when natural gas was uncommon. One day she was admitted to the intensive care with 3rd degree burns. The husband was blamed of setting her on fire due to spentaneous outburst of rage. The children were taken away by the family and he was arrested by the police. She died after 3 days.
The children's statement was clear. They said thet they saw daddy shouting and beating mother while she was at fire.Unfortunately there was nobody else around at that time.
The man denied all charges and insited that it was a freak accident, but nobody seemed to beleive him.In our culture, men are tyrants and women are the supressed ones, and thats that.
The magisterate court simply charged him with murder, based on the children's account of events. The whole family cut off from him.
After 4 months in jail, with the help of a long time friend,he managed to be released on bail.
The case was then taken to the high court.
In the mean time,he was totally abandoned by family and friends, and everybody was sure that he killed his wife for some mistress or out of anger, and yet nobody had any conclusive evidence. It was surprising how peoiple went to the court as witnesses, magnifying small family arguments, and indicating that he always had bad blood against his wife.No such statement was ever given by his wife, during her life and she looked very happy to be with him.In the absence of any evidence in favour of the man,the high court charged him of murder and hence capital punishment.
It took 3 years for the case to be heard in the supreme court, and they ordered forensic evidence to be compiled.
The house was sealed by police, and apart from the dead body, all other evidence was either on site or preserved in police custody.
There was an autopsy report which was never meticulously examined by a pannel of experts.
He had to spend his own money and under judicial supervision, experts were hired. The autopsy report was analyzed and it was reported that the clothes being synthatic, played a major role in making a bad situation worse,as they were highly combustible. At the same time the clothes stuck to the body on ignition.
Evidence from the charred remains of the kitchen clearly suggested an explosion, which was contradictory to the earlier beleif that oil was poured on her and then she was set on fire.
The Kerosine oil stove was sent to a university lab,and a detailed analysis of the destortion was done.An expert's report suggested that the stove exploded due to accumulation of kerosene fumes in the lower tank.and the fumes caught fire on release. This caused oil being splashed in all directions, and since the victim was standing next to it,she got drenched and her clothes immediately caught fire due to the burning fumes, and due to the already high temperature of kerosene oil.
The autopsy report also showed evidence of the explosion,as the most effected area was the mid body, with some pieces of metal found inside victim's body.
The photographic evidence was then presented along with the experts in front of judges in the supreme court. The girls were called again for their statement, and from their statement it was established that the man was actually not beating her,but insted he panicked on the sight, and was battering her with blanket or whatever he could grab,to put out the flames. This action of his was notices as shouting and beating by the young children.
The girls never accepted him as a father.Although now they are fully grown women with children of their own,and they now understand that he was innocent, but the scenes they remember still haunt them, and they never could build that father daughter bond.
The man never married again, and was partially accepted by his family,as many still accuse him of murder, and say that he used his money to falsify evidence.
He still lives in isolation, and it appears that he is living to make money,as all his life is now dedicated to his business.Although most of the money goes to the daughters accounts, not his. -
Child bullies
@ 2009-10-20 – 17:47:45
In my observation there comes a point when children become all out bullies to their parents.
Today i saw this in a computer repair shop. One old man and his teen age son were there with a laptop. The old man was talking to the shop owner and telling him the problem with his computer. The young man was walking around in the shop, like a caged bull about to charge. The old man was on about some adobe flash player issue with his laptop, and that he cannot watch online videos.Thats when the angry son jumped in,and started almost shouting at his dad."Dad why dont you tell him what videos you want to watch and the websites you want to visit".The old man wa keeping his cool, but it was obvious he did not like his son's sarcastic intervention.
Now the old man might be visiting adult website or maybe not,but i didnt think anything he said could enrage a teenager to such an extent.
I have seen many such examples where the children are pepetually annoyed of their parents, and regularly argue with them for no good reason. If the same happens the other way round, then you listen them complaining how evil the dad was or how bitchy the mom is.
Female partners are more readily accepted by step sons, and step daughters are a bit cranky but eventually accept them as part of the family. But in my observation men face hard time when there is a step daughter in the relation. The new man is always there to snatch their mom,and no matter how hard he tries,it is always an evil plan to get close to the mom via me the poor step daughter.
I may be wrong but those were my observations,a;though both observations were in different scenarios.
But i felt sorry for the old man in the Computer shop, and if i was given a choice,i would happily kich the boy on his bullocks. -
Is it cold in England?
@ 2009-10-20 – 13:20:24
Since most people outside UK, don't really know if Scotland, wales and Ireland exist,or if these are little towns, countries or Part of the UK.
The only accent accepted as British is the posh southern.
I remember, one of my relatives coming to Glasgow on a business trip, and my mother rang me up,and informed me that mr.so so is coming to England.I asked where in England, and i was told Glasgow
.My mom is not that bad in geography, but when i told her that Glasgow is Scotland, the answer was "What land?".
Once in Genoa Italy,i met an Aberdeen man,who was being asked if he is Scandinavian? The poor guy was being looked at with suspicion when he said he is British
During the 90s i been visiting tilbury harbour near London, many times. Then i was not living in UK.But even myself never discovered Wales until after moving to UK.Although i was suspicious about Ireland until recently,if its a country or part of UK. -
Technology news

Two types of news i never miss and read them all.The reuters oddly enough(there is a gizmo on the right column of my blog) and the technology news of CNN.But most of the time the science and tchnology news is not something about real life inventions or innovations. Most news is about cyber space and specially about the famous websites such as facebook and twitter.Does that count as technology news?Well i dont think so.I would be more interested in reading news about a new species discovered on the seabed,or a new type of jet engine being developed or maybe a new medicine. But that type of news is hard to find or am i looking on the wrong websites?

Terrorist bashing
@ 2009-10-18 – 02:54:41
News from Pakistan say that 28000 troops are involved in an all out attack on certain parts of bordering areas with Afghanistan.Jet planes are bombing the area, tanks and heavy artillary is being used and a mass exodus of civilians has started. All in response to rescent attack on the military head quarters in Islamabad.
I dont know what is the real story, but rescently american senate passed a bill in which they wanted rights on overlooking the recruitment and promotions procedure of Pakistan Armed forces and that was refused.Similarly they have been trying to control the Inter services intelligence agency of Pakistan, that too has been refused many times by Pakistani ministery of defence.
I am skeptical and suspicious about the timings of a series of terrorist attacks in pakistan in which over 150 people were killed, and the tussle between US senate and Pakistan army,in which they were about to lose Pakistan's support on their war against terror.
Were they really terrorist attacks or somehow CIA was involved in provoking the Army to assault the bordering areas?
The only problem with the people of that area is that they have some of the simplest life styles on the planet. These people can keep fighting on a diet of dry bread, pinch of salt and water, and are very hardy.Even their women and 11 year old boys can fire a gun.
Those who didnt want to confront Pakistan army have left or are leaving. They will need shelter, food and relocation, and for that the US offers no help. That alone are hundreds of thousands of internal refugees who are mostly supported by the local people of whichever area they head for.Decades ago,it was the same for the Afghan refugees who entered Pakistan.I remember their tents being set up on our private land, and my family gave them free electricity and set up a water line for them.Costed us a fortune. But then again, they had no other source of water and electricity, and we couldnt leave them thirsty.Over 4 million came, and never went back.
Since 9/11,the country has been too busy in fulfilling foreighn demands of uprooting terrorists, and many vital internal issues have been overlooked. The country faces a Supply/demand deficit of 7000 megawatts of electricity. The power shortage means people are living without electricity for upto 8 hours each day throughout the country and it is adversely effecting the industrial sector.Few years back the country had the fastest growing economy, and now it has ground to a halt.
For whatever reason the Army offensive has begun,i dont see it ending very soon. -
Memories memories
@ 2009-10-17 – 16:57:28
Long time ago when i was an infant i had some strange habits.I used to sleep with an egg in my hand,if anyone took away the egg during my sleep,i would wake up and cry

I had my favourit shoes.I still remember them.Red color and very soft.I wont sleep if i didnt have one of those shoe in any of my feet.
My da had a nice car,and in those days there were no plastic bags, and mom used to go to the market with a big shopping basket.
I always copied mom,and wont sit in the car if i didnt have my shopping basket in my hand.My shopping basket was a brass tea kettle. It looked like a shopping basket to me,as it had a handle and a baggy thing hanging from the handle, same as mom's basket
I guess i have grown up since then.

Trolling the blog land
@ 2009-10-16 – 19:59:10
Not really, but i been analysing a few blogs during the past few days.I got my own(wierdo) point of view about everything, and i found some interesting patterns.
Bloggers who regularly write sad experiences in life or sad blog posts, attract most comments from under 25s,specially young women.
Female bloggers with a cheesy pic on their profile understably attract more comments from male bloggers, all ages(as men rarely grow).
Some bloggers have a very typical writing style, and a certain group of bloggers understand them. For the rest their blogposts are inetersting but cannot be commented on.
The very open bloggers; or those who hide nothing, are the most interesting in blogland, but they dont last too long, and burn their blog pretty soon.
The crystal bloggers; or those who blog from a bed of cotton buds.Very delicate they are.One wrong move and you upset them for life. You have to agree with them on anything and everything they say.Because its their blog.
Ears shut and mouth open bloggers; are those who may be writing very interesting posts, but rarely acknowledge other people's input in the form of comments.I wont comment more than a few times, and then assume they dont like it,and quit. But still i might visit and read their writings,as they may have an interesting style.
Selective sadists; there are a few in here, very nice to some, and really rotten and nasty with others. They dwell on their fans's good thoughts about them to victimise and bully others. But since i endorsed mala's petition,my fangs and claws are withdrawn.I still got sticky fingers

Being goaded into war againt terror
@ 2009-10-10 – 14:33:21
Since the US lead whore..oh sorry war against terror, the terrorism has increased exponentially. They have dirty tricks up their sleeves which dont work.
Reticently they been pushing Pakistan to start military action against the tribal men of the Pak-Afghan border, but they refuse to assist in any way.
The pakistan Army started the operation, and terrorism has increased since then. Before the operation, still terrorists were there and now and again they would blast a bomb somewhere, but it has gone 5 folds since the so called anti terror operation.
In addition to that USA is using their usual Dirty politics, which is enraging the people even further.
Reticently they started transferring nuclear technology to India, while asking Iran and Pakistan to stop all Nuclear activities. Then they passed a bill to stop military assistance to Pakistan, while still wanting Pakistan to protect their Army supply convoys which pass through difficult terrain inside Pakistan. That protection which Pakistan provides to the supplies of NATO and US troops in Afghanistan, alone costs many lives and tons of money.
This week Pakistan Army commanders protested against Uncle Sam's weird treatment which rarely makes any sense. Then yesterday Indian Embassy in Afghanistan was Bombed, and Pakistan blamed.Today the Military headquarters in Islamabad was attacked. All this to goad Pakistan into uncle Sam's war.
I dont see this insulting and obviously asserting attitude can provoke any positive sentiments for USA and her allies.
No i am not against americans, and i know that them and me are not much different.None can do much about what the American politicians want to do. -

Pastafarian religion
@ 2009-10-08 – 23:21:59
Here is a news article is found:
A student has been suspended from school in America for coming to class dressed as a pirate. But the disciplinary action has provoked controversy – because the student says that the ban violates his rights, as the pirate costume is part of his religion.
Bryan Killian says that he follows the Pastafarian religion, and that as a crucial part of his faith, he must wear 'full pirate regalia' as prescribed in the holy texts of Pastafarianism.
The school, however, say that his pirate garb was disruptive.
Any Pastafarians out there?

My new invention
@ 2009-10-06 – 16:47:42
At times i get flooded with creative ideas.Yesterday i was thinking of a way to produce electricity. My concept was to drive air compressors with wind turbines, instead of individual electric generators.
Mounting an air compressor on the windmill and many wind mills compressing air for a single large generator.Usually there are individual generators mounted with each wind turbine.
That way wind power can even be stored in the form of compressed air for later use. Some googling revealed that there are currently no electricity generators which can work efficiently with compressed air,and the few pneumatic motors available are low powered and don't generate enough torque for turning a large generator.Compressed air storage tanks are also expensive technology.
My concept of saving was to avoid mounting a number of individual generators on wind turbines, instead mount a readily available and much cheaper air compressor to use wind energy and to combine all power produced by a number of wind turbines to turn one large ground based electricity generator. But google tells me that the technology needed to make such a scheme commercially viable is either non existent or still rudimentary.
Not very developed..are we? -

"What's the matter?" he asks
"I have a case of anal glaucoma," she says in a weak voice.
"What the hell is anal glaucoma?"

The realm of gamers
@ 2009-10-04 – 00:42:56
There are two types of video gamers. One type plays on consoles such as play stations and nintendo, and the others like myself prefer PC gaming.
Actually the only console i ever owned apart from my PSP was the good old playstation 1.Like the console gamers who would jump on any new or next generation gaming gadget, the PC gamers have fantascies of their own.
We too spend time and money to improve our gaming experience. There are expensive ways and there are the more geekish time consuming ways. But the geeks save money. The geeks tweak their hardware to get similar or better results than the rich boys with big budgets.
The most expensive componenet of any gaming PC other than the monitor is the graphics card, and at the same time its the most complex micro chip to be used by general public.
Rescently ATI released their latest Graphics card and i am drooling on it
.Currently its expensive and is selling at around 350 pounds, and still the demand is so high that the card is nearly impossible to find.
I was reding the technical details of this new graphics processor and its far more complex than the latest CPU by Intel or AMD.The factest intel core i7 CPU has something like 800 million transistors and thats for all the 4 cores, but this graphics card has over 2 billion transistors for one chip. Now these things have left the CPU way behind and have computing capabilities within reach of the supercomputers.
A few years ago,the USA had strict controls over who can buy supercomputers and who cannot,as almost all supercomputers are built in USA.But now the technology is so wide spread that anybody with the right software can build their own supercomputer with off the shelf parts.
Anyhoo,i will wait for the prices to come down, and probaly buy it in january.Until then i am ok with my Gaming rig.The waiting will save me a lot of money. -
Is it credit crunch?

I see big online retailers such as Dell,Argos and Ebuyer selling on Ebay.
It used to be a website where people sold their unwanted items and made some money. Then came small businesses who had less resources to advertise and used ebay as a well known plateform to sell their products.
Now with the retail giants in the ring, nobody stands a chance to compete against them.
There should be some laws in place to avoid monopoly and promote fair competition. But i see that here in UK all laws are in favour of the rich and powerful, specially when it comes to business and money making. -
A cow's Arse
@ 2009-10-01 – 15:00:15
Why some people have a mouth like a cow's arse from which only filth can flow out. Those filthy mouths are unpredictable. You never know when you are going to be showered with all sort of dirty words, for no apparent reason. But then you cant predict when a cow is gona crap.
