  • Tea lovers

Thomas lipton was the founder of Lipton tea company. This company probably makes the best tea in the world.
Tea may be a British discovery, but today it is as famous in Pakistan as beer in the UK.
Billions are spent every year to import tea from abroad, and on the average one Pakistani drinks more than three cups a day, with milk.Lipton are probably one of the biggest money makers in Pakistan.
People like me have tea running in their veins instead of blood :>>

  • Dragon's den

They say knowledge is power. But this BBC program denies that.
But looking at the power of a business man who has the ability of converting knowledge into cash,i am suspicious about this phrase.
I don't know a scientist who was top of the list in the forbe's top 10
But i have seen many uneducated people without a university degree, who became millionaires or even billionaires.
I am just a graduate, with a bachelors degree in maritime transport, but most of my family got masters in different fields of study.
All of them work in companies with a top man with much lesser qualification than their's.
Ask them so called Dragons in the BBC program, what qualifications they got?
Most of them are under graduates, but filthy rich and many brilliant minds feel proud to work for them.
Knowledge may be important, but knowledge of how to make money is what really matters.

  • Alcohol

The word alcohol was introduced into the English language circa 1543 from the Arabic: الغول‎, "al-ġuḥl".
Drink too much of it and you try to open a plane's door 30,000 feet up in the sky.

plane was forced to make an emergency landing when two British women tried to open the cabin door mid-flight, police have said.

The women were drinking on board a tourist flight from Kos in Greece to Manchester on Wednesday afternoon when they became rowdy.

The plane made an emergency landing at Frankfurt Airport in Germany and the women were held in their seats by security staff until their arrest, Hartmut Scherer, a spokesman for the city's police force said.

Police said the women, aged 26 and 27, became violent because they were refused more alcohol when the plane was 30,000ft over Austria.

During the incident, the 26-year-old also attacked a flight attendant with a bottle of vodka.

Mr Scherer said: "Both the women drunk a lot of alcohol on the plane and it was a risk because they made some trouble.

"The captain thought it was better to make an unscheduled stop in Frankfurt and get them off the plane.

"They wanted to open a door in the plane but that was not possible and someone from the security held them in their seats until the landing."

The plane landed at 4.45pm and after a delay of two hours the remaining passengers were allowed to continue home.

The women were questioned by police but released and allowed to return to the UK. Mr Scherer said police were deciding whether to press charges and the women could also be fined or forced to pay compensation. :))

  • It was friday prayers today

    And i got mooned.

The stupid person in front of me was wearing a loose jeans, and every time he did the ruku, his fat bum cheeks would peep out of his pants and unintentionally he was mooning me.
At least he could come in a better dress to the mosque. After all it was supposed to be a prayer gathering, with all the tranquility, purity and Godliness.
But he turned it into a "mooning party" for me.
    Stupid man.

  • US Airforce warns Russia on nuclear bombers in Cuba

WASHINGTON: Russia would cross "a red line for the United States of America" if it were to base nuclear capable bombers in Cuba, a top US air force officer warned on Tuesday.

"If they did I think we should stand strong and indicate that is something that crosses a threshold, crosses a red line for the United States of America," said General Norton Schwartz, nominated to be the air force's chief of staff.

He was referring to a report in a newspaper that said the Russian military is thinking of flying long-range bombers to Cuba on a regular basis in response to US plans to install missile defenses in eastern Europe.

A White House spokeswoman declined to comment on the report because there had been no "official response from the Russian government."

Are we reliving the cuban missile crisis?

  • Islam subway ads

Ads promoting Islam are to be placed on New York subway cars in September.
The campaign is to feature ads on 1,000 of the subway system's roughly 6,200 cars. The main sponsor is a grass-roots organization, Islamic Circle of North America.

The ads, simple black-and-white panels, will feature key words or phrases about Islam on one side of the panel such as "Head Scarf?" or "Prophet Muhammad?" and the words "You deserve to know" along with the Web site address WhyIslam.org on the other side. The idea is to evoke certain thoughts in the mindset of the person who is looking at the ads and get them to a point where they can reflect upon certain words that one could define as hot words or keywords that get thrown around a lot but are not necessarily defined in the most proper context," said New York University's Imam Khalid Latif, a cleric who is promoting the project in a YouTube video created by the Islamic Circle.

Not a good idea,in my opinion it won't do much good,or any good.

  • The big bang and the big crunch

Yes i have read a lot about it in media.I am a reader of the Quran and to most it is a book that preaches "Jihad",suppression of women and thats it.
I never ever go for justifying my beliefs by judging them according to science. The reason is that the accepted theories are based on a set of experiments and hypothesis, and that stands good until someone with a higher intellect proves it to be wrong.Scientific theories tend to be accepted and then rejected because someone had a better explanation of the phenomenon. If i base my beliefs on science, tomorrow i may feel like a stupid because all my life i had been believing on something wrong? and i don't want that.
But science cannot be rejected all together. So i found some interesting stuff in Quran about the big bang theory.

"Do not the Unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined together (as one unit of creation), before we clove them asunder? We made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe?21:30

Then there will be the end,and all the universe will collapse into one single entity. The point from where it all started.

I don't know about tomorrow but today the scientists almost unanimously say that the universe started from one point mass, that exploded into the universe.

And it is We Who have constructed the heaven with might, and verily, it is We Who are steadily expanding it.
    51:47

And since it was a big bang the universe is still expanding.

That Day We will fold up heaven like folding up the pages of a book. As We originated the first creation so We will regenerate it. It is a promise binding on Us. That is what We will do.21:104

They do not measure Allah with His true measure. The whole earth will be a mere handful for Him on the Day of Rising the heavens folded up in His right hand. Glory be to Him! He is exalted above the partners they ascribe!9:67

The universe will collapse back to the point mass from where it all started.

  • Preaching

I have been to brothels, and i have been to mosques.I am never proud of my sins, and i try to accept my fault when it is my fault.
Sometimes i think that i am living a life of hypocracy, saying something else and doing something else.
These days tides have turned.Go back 100 years, and there was almost no concept of living without a religion. Now being a religious person is a taboo in most societies and you are teased, taunted, and your beliefs are disgraced by people.
It's not just the so called non-believers,but it's the "marginal believers" who are often the worst bullies (pardon my words here).
The reason they are so harsh at times is that they try to justify their wrong doings by bending religious beliefs, and giving strange arguments.
Religion and logic does not always match.Religion is a set of rules.Logic is an argument which our mind easily accepts, based on our life experiences,or on some other set of arguments.
I believe there is a God who created everything, and this sounds both acceptable and logical to me.But logic can be a load of crap for some other person.
If a person says they don't believe in any God or don't want a religion, that is fair enough.
But if a person believes in a religion, and then they do bad things, then drag religion to justify their wrong doings, that is where the trouble starts.

  • The toilet seat incident

Charlie's wife, Lucy, had been after him for several weeks to paint the seat on their commode. Finally, he got around to doing it while Lucy was out. He left to take care of another matter before she returned. She came in and undressed to take a shower. Before getting in the shower, she sat on the commode. As she tried to stand up, she realized that the not-quite-dry epoxy paint had glued her to the commode seat. About that time, Charlie got home and realized her predicament.

They both pushed and pulled without any success whatsoever. Finally, In desperation, Charlie undid the commode seat bolts. Lucy wrapped a sheet around herself and Charlie drove her to the Hospital Emergency Room. The ER Doctor got her into a position where he could study how to free her. Lucy tried to lighten the embarrassment of it all by saying "Well, Doctor, I'll bet you've never seen anything like this before". The Doctor replied "Actually, I've seen a lot of them. I just never saw one FRAMED before.

  • Rescent history

The Chagos Archipelago is a group of seven atolls comprising more than 60 individual tropical islands roughly in the centre of the Indian Ocean.

The Chagos lies about 500 km (300 miles) due south of the Maldives, its nearest neighbour, 1600 km (1000 miles) southwest of India, half way between Tanzania and Java.
Chagossians (also known as Ilois and Chagos Islanders) are a group of Creole-speaking people. They are mostly of African origin, namely from Madagascar, Mozambique and people from other African nations who were in Ile de France (Mauritius) at the time of the settlement, but there is a significant proportion of South Indian descent in the genetic pool of the Chagossians as well.

The Chagossians inhabited the islands of Diego Garcia, Peros Banhos and Salomon Islands, but they also had settled in other parts of the Chagos Archipelago, like Egmont Islands and Eagle Islands, at a certain time. Their native language is Chagossian Creole, currently spoken by their descendants in Mauritius and the Seychelles. It is part of the Bourbonnais Creole family.

The very first Chagossians were brought to the Archipelago as slaves from Mauritius by the French in 1776. Others arrived as fishermen, farmers, and coconut plantation workers during the 19th century.

In 1965, as part of a deal to grant Mauritian independence, the Chagos Archipelago was split off from the Colony and came to form the British Indian Ocean Territory. The territory's new constitution was set out in a statutory instrument imposed unilaterally without any referendum or consultation with the Chagossians, and envisaged no democratic institutions. The constitution prohibited anyone from residing in the islands without a permit.

In the following years from 1967 and 1973, the Chagossians, then numbering some 2000 people, were expelled by the British government, first to the island of Peros Banhos, 100 miles away from their homeland, and then, in 1973, to Mauritius (For the relationship between the Chagos Archipelago and Mauritius, see Chagos Archipelago). Their forced (and, according to some authorities, illegal) expulsion and dispossession was for the purpose of establishing a United States air and naval base on Diego Garcia, where a small contingent of UK military personnel are stationed as well.

According to the news from back home, allied troops have amassed on the borders of Afghanistan and Pakistan, along with their choppers, tanks and other military hardware.People living on the Pak-Afghan border have started evacuating the area .
US fighter jets have been spotted flying on the border areas of Pakistan.
I am not too sure, but if they enter Pakistani territory like that,Pakistan may retaliate, and this can lead to a new war in the region.

  • Iran is dangerous,lets hide

USA is still sitting on top of about 4000 nuclear weapons, and if Iran wants to make just one, they are Evil.
Even if Iran makes a nuclear weapon,it may not have the explosive power of a few kilo tons.About 300 American Nukes have over 25 mega tons each, of yield capacity.
One air blast,of one such device will send poor ahmadinejad straight to the heavens(or hell).
Then there is the question of trust, some might say that USA can be more trust worthy than Iran, when weapons are concerned.I don't think so.
Who has more blood on their hands? The answer is simple.Only in the last 50 years as a direct result of American military activities millions have lost their lives.Iran has not done anything like this.
I am not a fan/opponent of Iran or USA,but i am a fan of balance of power, and fair play.
Exaggeration, and scare tactics are good to control people.Plus all this noise masks the real mistakes of the rulers. An almost destroyed economy, and spending tax payer's money on unnecessary weapons can all be justified by showing the ant under a giant magnifying glass.

    12 x 8 + 2 = 98
    123 x 8 + 3 = 987
    1234 x 8 + 4 = 9876
    12345 x 8 + 5 = 98765
    123456 x 8 + 6 = 987654
    1234567 x 8 + 7 = 9876543
    12345678 x 8 + 8 = 98765432
    123456789 x 8 + 9 = 987654321

    1 x 9 + 2 = 11

    12345678 x 9 + 9 = 111111111
    123456789 x 9 +10= 1111111111

    9 x 9 + 7 = 88
    98 x 9 + 6 = 888

    9876 x 9 + 4 = 88888
    98765 x 9 + 3 = 888888
    987654 x 9 + 2 = 8888888
    9876543 x 9 + 1 = 88888888
    98765432 x 9 + 0 = 888888888

    Brilliant, isn't it?

    And look at this symmetry:

    1 x 1 = 1
    11 x 11 = 121
    111 x 111 = 12321
    1111 x 1111 = 1234321
    11111 x 11111 = 123454321
    111111 x 111111 = 12345654321
    1111111 x 1111111 = 1234567654321
    11111111 x 11111111 = 123456787654321
    111111111 x 111111111 = 12345678987654321

  • How to turn your PC into a Blu-ray player

As far as i know, currently Blu-ray players are expensive. The minimum price i could find on the internet was 200 Pounds. But then,it's a dumb Blu-ray player which can't do anything else.
There is a way to play Blu-Ray discs on your PC.There are some technical issues though.
You ned a Blu-ray drive which looks same as the DVD drive in your computer and costs around 100 pounds. Then you need an HDCP compliant graphics card.
All Nvidia geforce 8000 series cards are HDCP compliant, examples are geforce 8400,8500,8800 etc.But ATI cards are cheaper and better at Blu-ray and all other HD content playback. All ATI radeon HD2000 and HD3000 series cards are HDCP compliant, and can play bak Blu-ray discs.
These cards start at around 30 pounds.
The next thing you need is good Blu-ray playing software on your PC.Windows media player does not support HD playback, may be with windows vista it does, but can be buggy.Powerdvd 8 is a well known software and can be bought for around 30 pounds, and it works a treat.
The only problem is that although all the graphics cards i mentioned above give out full High definition vidoe signal but may or may not give sound output. You will have to use a separate sound connection with your computer's sound card. You can use seperate speakers,or plug in the sound output of your computer's sound card in your HDTV.This way you will use two seperate cables, one HDMI or DVI for video, and an SPDIF or normal sound cable for sound output. And now you can watch Blu-ray disks or HD-DVD on your PC,and can connect your PC directly to your HD ready TV.
    Any questions?or answers? :)

In 1981 Israel astonished the world with accurately bombing Iraqi nuclear installations. Not one of their planes were damaged or even detected by Iraqi radars. No missiles were used, and the skill of Israeli pilots and military planners was shown to the world by the use of conventional bombs in the operation.
Iran now believes that Israel or USA may take similar action against their nuclear installation, which according to them are totally for electricity production.
This adds a third south Asian country on the hit list of Israel and USA.Afghanistan,Pakistan and now Iran.
Unlike Iraq who totally relied on revenues from oil for almost all her needs, including food and medicine,Iran has long been cutoff from the rest of the world and has learn to survive on internal resources and a blockade of her ports as was done with Iraq, may not work in favor of USA and her allies.Instead such an action will push oil prices to astronomical levels which will be deadly for the world economy.
Neighboring Pakistan has been threatened by USA a number of times for being attacked, and her north western territory regularly come under American air force, missile and Drone attack. Many of these attacks were based on sketchy information obtained through faulty espionage.
Currently in a political mess, and a resultant economic crisis,Pakistan has proved her military capabilities many times. This is the only Muslim country that has openly demonstrated military grade nuclear capabilities, and one of the 12 countries in the world who has an advanced second strike weapon system i.e submarine launched cruise missiles.
A military co-operation between Iran and Pakistan is highly unlikely.Mainly due to the ideological and religious differences between them.Iran being a hard core shia state, and Pakistan a predominantly Sunni state, have reason enough, not to interfere in each other's political affairs, even in case of an all out foreign attack.Only if the attack is simultaneous on both the countries, they may join hands.

  • Iran to hit Tel Aviv, and US ships if attacked

    Wednesday, July 09, 2008
TEHRAN: Iran will hit Tel Aviv, US shipping in the Gulf and American interests around the world if it is attacked over its disputed nuclear activities, an aide to Iran’s Supreme Leader was quoted as saying on Tuesday.

“The first bullet fired by America at Iran will be followed by Iran burning down its vital interests around the globe,” the students news agency ISNA quoted Ali Shirazi as saying in a speech to Revolutionary Guards.

The United States and its allies suspect Iran is trying to build nuclear bombs. Tehran says its programme is peaceful. Leaders of the Group of Eight rich countries expressed serious concern at the proliferation risks posed by Iran’s nuclear programme.

In a statement issued after G8 leaders met in Hokkaido, northern Japan, the grouping urged Tehran to suspend all enrichment-related activities.

  • I been listening to gordon brown?

I never throw away food.If i cant consume it,i freeze it for later consumption.I have done it in restaurants even.I the meal i bought remains unfinished,i ask them to pack it for me.
Ok enough praising myself :>> today Gordon brown asked British public to waste less food.Thats good advise, but the supermarkets waste a huge amount of food everyday due to over stuffing their shelves and clumsy staff who don't bother to "rotate" the items on display.New food comes in front and the food stuff with shorter expiry dated remains in the back of the shelves until somebody discovers them only to be binned.
As a policy most supermarkets don't sell near expired food stuff, they just bin them.
Strict regulations for the food stores and supermarket chains will save hundreds of thousands of edible material from ending up in the land fill.

An unkeen ability too sense when a hot babe is in the vicinity. Kind of like Spiderman and his Spidey-sense, except for babes. Once you pick up a signal on your babedar you can choose whether to shoot a missile at it (go for her), like an F-15C, or just ignore the signal and proceed.
Dude my babedar is picking up huge signals on it at 3 O' Clock low.

  • Man flu,finally prvoved

Man flu' - the psychological condition by which men claim to suffer more from colds than women - really exists, according to a new poll.

Males take more time off work than women with colds they think are flu, reports the Daily Mirror.

They also moan more, fork out more on remedies and 82% stay in bed until they feel better.

The survey of 2,000 people found 64% of men thought they had flu and took a day off compared with 45% of women.

But according to Prof Ron Eccles of the Common Cold Centre, Cardiff University, it is women who get ill more.

He said: "This is because women have more contact with children - normally the main source of infection."

The poll for Nuts magazine found men take three days to recover and women half that time. November is said to be the worst month for 'man flu' - with one in six suffering.

    I got man fly

    tupolev-tu-144

The Tupolev Tu-144 Charger was a supersonic transport aircraft AKA Koncordski, on 15/07/69 it became the first commercial transport to exceed Mach 2, and the fastest commercial airliner ever.
A prototype first flew on 31 December 1968 near Moscow, two months before Concorde. The Tu-144 first broke the sound barrier on 5 June 1969.The TU-144 was also outfitted as a supersonic nuclear bomber. The Americans were scared as hell of this thing. It was so fast that if it got past the fighter defenses they couldn't catch it (It could even outrun medium and long-range missiles).
Tu-144 was 65.7 metres (215.6 feet) in length, with a wingspan of 28.8 metres (94.5 feet) and a range of over 6500 /km.Its normal cruising speed was up to Mach 2.2, more than twice the speed of sound. Among its notable features were the “double-delta” swept-back wings, the “moustache” foreplanes that pivoted out from the fuselage just aft of the flight deck to improve flight characteristics during takeoff and landing, and the nose section that could be “drooped” downward to improve the crew’s line of vision during takeoff and landing.\"tupolev-tu-144\"

  • Wanking at supersonic speed

    :)) :)) :)) :))

This is the footage of an israili F-16 pilot bombing the iraqi nuclear reactor. It was operation opera, which was one of the world's most well planned and accurate air raids.
Interestingly enough,if you watch the whole video, the guy clearly sounds like he is having a wank in the cockpit.

Wonder how he was wanking while dropping bombs and flying low to avoid iraqi radars. :))

  • Once upon a time

The birds from the high Karakorum mountains in the north on my home town used to migrate south to the warmer planes.Every evening in the month of September i stood under the sky looking at the flocks of migrating birds.Jet black crows with white beaks were the only species among dozens i could recognize.
Nomad tribes with their colorful dresses, sheep and cattle also migrated downhill as their homelands had to be covered by many feet of snow until the end of march.
They used to knock our doors asking for water and grazing grounds for their animals.
We gave our seasonal guests our lands, food and fodder for their livestocks .
20 years on,all this doesn't happen anymore. The high Karakorum are now warm enough for the tribes to stay there during winter, and for the birds it stays a warm home and they too don't need to migrate anymore.
The worlds largest mountain glacier "the baltoro" has receded dramatically.
I used to trek it in my teen ages.It was so magestic and so vast.It looked like a giant serpent coming down from the clouds.
Is it a change for good? May be.

  • Googling the moon

Papa google rescently launched a new race to the moon. The quest is part of the Google Lunar X Prize, which will put $20 million into the hands of the first privately funded team that can land a rover on the moon; have it travel on the surface for 500 meters or more; send back data, photos and video; and do it all by December 31, 2012.

I always question our reasons to try explore the space.I would rather be happy to embark on a journey to the center of the earth,or explore the mid oceanic ridge.
Answers to most of our questions are present on this planet, why go somewhere else?
While billions of dollars are being spent on trying to find that dumb microbe on mars, which nobody knows even exists or not, dozens of species on this planet go extinct without being even discovered.
I once saw miles and miles of glow in the dark algae. That was near yemen in the middle east.At night the sea was glowing with green light due to some kind of glow in the dark micro organism. Can it be of ant use to us for power production?
I can find more about mars on the internet than about the snow leopard. Don't think this is a healthy trend.
With the universe so vast and our lives so short we can't grasp all the knowledge.May be if we concentrate on our own planet,it will be better for us.

You have seen dozens of videos about the cosmos, mars and the moon, but have you ever seen this?
