  • Girls wanted urgently

In China, the 2005 estimate was more than 120 boys born to 100 girls, with India logging about 108 boys to 100 girls in 2001, when the last census was taken. However, pockets of India have rates of 120 boys. In several Chinese provinces, the ratio spikes to more than 130 boys born to 100 girls. It estimated Asia was short 163 million females in 2005 when compared to overall population balances of men and women elsewhere in the world. It said sex ratios at birth in other countries, such as Nepal, Pakistan and Bangladesh, also should be closely monitored to avoid uneven trends there.
"It's very difficult to imagine what's going to be the exact impact of these missing girls in 20 years," said Christophe Guilmoto, an author of the report presented this week at a reproductive health conference in Hyderabad, India. "No human society that we know has faced a similar problem."

  • Now thats funny

Marshal law declared in Pakistan. All TV channels off air.Supreme court judges arrested. All mobile phone companies instructed to shut down their services in certain areas, and a country wide shut down of text messaging service.
Believe me or not, none of this bothers the general public. It is a big change for the politicians only ;)

  • Animal-Human Hybrids

Scientists have begun blurring the line between human and animal by producing chimeras—a hybrid creature that's part human, part animal.
In Minnesota last year researchers at the Mayo Clinic created pigs with human blood flowing through their bodies.

And at Stanford University in California an experiment might be done later this year to create mice with human brains.

Scientists feel that, the more humanlike the animal, the better research model it makes for testing drugs or possibly growing "spare parts," such as livers, to transplant into humans.

Are we trying to play god?

Many incurable disease, such as SARS and even AIDS are thought to be run away microbes from laboratories.
There may be more in their laboratories which they can unleash at will,to earn profits.
It is always a good idea to make people buy their medicines by releasing some contagious disease every now and then.
