    In other news

(CNN) -- The Iranian parliament on Saturday voted to designate the United States' Central Intelligence Agency and the U.S. Army as terrorist organizations, IRNA, the country's state-run news agency, reported.

The CIA and the U.S. Army "trained terrorists and supported terrorism, and they themselves are terrorists," the parliament said, according to IRNA.

The Iranian parliament said the condemnation was based on "known and accepted" standards of terrorism from international regulations, including the U.N. charter.

  • Party time Ramazan

Ha ha.17 days of ramazan are gone, and 13 more to go.Just after sunset its party time everyday.:>>
Some people send me home cooked food almost every day,and i do the same.So at sunset there is a variety of tasty food in front of me,and most of the time i get some guests or i am someone's guest.
Back home in Pakistan, its hard to break fast alone.Either i invite someone,if not someone invites me :>>
Most people like to do this throughout the month.Have a guest or be someone's guest at sunset.;)
Then at 3 in the night, the market is buzzing with people buying stuff for the early morning meal.
Many factories change their opening hours,so that workers don't have to work with an empty belly :>> .They work at night.
13 more days, and it will be all over ;)

  • PBS: Weapons of US soldiers in Iraq 'plagued with problems'

The M-16, the choice rifle of the United States Armed Forces, turns 50 years old this month and is still plagued by many of the same problems it had half a century ago, putting American troops in Iraq at a severe disadvantage when it comes to small arms combat, the PBS program Newshour reported tonight.

"That AK-74 outhits the M-16 by two to one on full automatic," said Jim Sullivan, referring to the Russian-made assault rifle, now in its third generation. "And the reason there were 100 million AK's made wasn't to equip the Russian army - it was to give [to] our Third World opponents. The United States can't win ground wars anymore."

The M-16 and its successor, the shorter M4, are known for their finickiness, jamming in even the most innocuous conditions. In combat, the unreliability of the rifle can be deadly.

Regarding his son currently serving in Iraq, Sullivan said, "He should have an AK."

  • Long time no see

Yesterday i went to Blackburn with a friend. His favorite auto mechanic is there, and he always goes to his garage for car repairs.
While we were looking for a good car battery at a local auto spare parts shop,i noticed a young boy smiling at me.I smiled back.
Then he came near me and called me by my family name,i was a bit surprised and i asked him how he knows my name?
The boy kept on smiling and reminded me of another of my friends with whom i visited their home about two years ago.
Then i remembered it all.The boy and his family were the relatives of one of my friends. Two years ago i visited their home with this friend, met their dad and mom, very nice people.
On my next visit,i gave some animated movies to the kids.I have a big collection of animated movies :>>,and thats why the kid still remembered me.:b after two years.
I met his dad and mom and, they recognized me,and it was good. They were three small kids at that time, now they have grown up,but all three of them asked me why i did not visit them for such a long time, and where i had been.
It was so nice, and i am invited for dinner with them on Thursday night, woo hoo :>>

  • Clever americans

For UK it must be turning left only,as you don't have to wait for the opposite traffic to stop.

You wouldn't think of something as benign as avoiding a left-hand turn could conserve fuel, but Atlanta-based United Parcel Service (UPS) swears by it. In fact, the parcel carrier has technology in its systems that help map this out routes that minimize the number of left turns the driver has to make. According to spokesperson Steve Holmes, avoiding left turns at intersections reduces idling which in turn lowers fuel consumption. "It seems small, but when you multiply it across 88,0000 vehicles making nearly 15 million deliveries every day during the course of a year, it adds up."

And at stop lights, making a right turn at an intersection tends to be faster than at a left turn, since you have only to wait for an opportunity to turn in one lane of traffic. You also have the option of "right on red" in most jurisdictions, unless otherwise indicated by traffic signs. "So even if you didn't save fuel, you're going to move more quickly through a route."

"Because 98% of our packages are processed electronically by shippers, we know what's entering our system each day, what's still in our system each day, when each package is going to arrive at a center, when the package is scheduled for delivery -- including time of day -- and where it will be delivered," Holmes says.

What's more, Holmes says, UPS drivers are trained to always turn off their package cars when they stop for a delivery, never idling at the curb or in a driveway. "Even if the driver is out of the truck for a few seconds, the vehicle is always turned off."

  • Want some credit cards?

PERSONAL debt in Britain has reached £1.38trillion because of soaring loan rates, senior Tories warned last night.

That is the equivalent of nearly £55,000 for every household in the country, and twice the level of most European nations.

Up to nine million Britons now confess to having a serious debt problem.

Average house price in Britain is £210,578.That means that the lenders own a quarter of each house in Britain.

Still the banks want to punish people for not having money by adding penalty charges, fake administration charges and the interest on all that,to the existing debt.

Reticently my Bank from hell namely RBS somehow managed to ask me to pay them 680 pounds on some refused direct debits.I have given a written and signed statement to them to take me to the county court,if they want this money.
No matter how much unjustified bills they present me,end of the day its me who has to pay or not. :>:>

  • Its only 14 hours

From the first twilight, that is about one hour before sunrise until sunset.I have to keep myself away from food and drinks.
At the same time i have to live my life as normal, without any change.I have to work as normal.
Its not too hard in this country, but back home in Pakistan where in the southern cities, temperature soars to around 40 degree centigrade, people keep fast and work as normal, and that is difficult.
Although i am doing it with my own choice, but there are people out there who don't have a choice. They have to sleep or work hungry because they got no food.
Makes me think sometimes,as the mind is temporarily out of clutter. Not surprised if all charities get hefty donations during this month ;)

  • How stupid a man can be?

BEIJING, China (AP) -- A man in southern China appears to have died of exhaustion after a three-day Internet gaming binge, state media said Monday.

The 30-year-old man fainted at a cyber cafe in the city of Guangzhou Saturday afternoon after he had been playing games online for three days, the Beijing News reported.

Paramedics tried to revive him but failed and he was declared dead at the cafe, it said. The paper said that he may have died from exhaustion brought on by too many hours on the Internet.

The report did not say what the man, whose name was not given, was playing.

  • So its Ramadan, and its time to use blunt force?

For any true Muslim,it is a holy month in which there should be no blood shed.
    http://afp.google.com/article/ALeqM5jM_d40RKTSZAbq9t-TALor7kz-xw
Even the so called infidels the Americans, are known to respect this month in Afghanistan and Iraq, but why can't they show some respect? On east of the Afghan border, they are killing and get kiled by Pakistani troops, and on the west of the border, the same story with foreign troops.

These are the tribal people living in the bordering areas of Afghanistan and Pakistan who supported taliban, and still are allegedly supporting them, and they call their fight for "something" jihad.
But is this jihad? is it for the sake of Islam? Or is is an all out ignorance, arrogance and brutality in the name of Islam and jihad?
    It is indeed.
The truth is that these people have been shattering each other's heads for centuries under their tribal way of life, and their conversion to Islam in the 7th century A.D did change a lot but not their vicious and hostile nature.Violence seems to be in their blood.
The problem with many of these people is that they understand only one language. The language of power.
You got to defeat them to make them talk to you. There is no other way.
in 1947 they chose to join Pakistan instead of Afghanistan, but at the same time they wanted to retain their centuries old tribal way of life, and that was granted.
As a result, for the last half century, their area has been a hub of drug trafficking and weapons manufacturing and exporting.
They don't pay any taxes or electric bills or any other bills, but still want the same facilities as the rest of the Pakistanis.
Their violence can only be subdued by violence, and it is evident from recent history.
Well then, people are not the same. For some people logic works and for some you got to give a bigger punch on their face to make them understand simple things.
Its the same in Afghanistan,as it is the same people.
If the Americans just occupy the country and keep bombing them whenever there is an uprise, peace will be maintained.
But if they try to reason with them, and make them run their country, the violence and bloodshed will continue.
Same is on the Pakistani side of the border. The so called military dictator General zia-ul-haqq used to bomb them with fighter jets in 1980's.
It seemed to be brutal or inhumane, but as a result they were kept at bay.

  • How not to land a plane

The only "Air disaster" i ever experienced was in Pakistan on a local flight when the rear tires blew up as the plane was running at full speed on the runway. The plane's front wheels were up in the air at that time.

  • Its a bomb,its a ...........

Yesterday,i was in the mosque for night prayers.During ramadan, its always full. All the kids traditionally stand in the rear rows. The elders in the front rows, and people like me in the middle rows. Most teen agers like to stand in the rear rows in front of the children,so that they can exit without being noticed ,whenever they get bored.:>>
According to shariah,we have to wash our limbs and face in a particular order,as a preparation for prayers.
Any "exhaust" from the body has to be either done before this washing for prayer,or has to be held until the end of it.For adults only,if we laugh loudly during prayer,we have to go out and wash again.
It doesn't happen as people come prepared, and no body laughs during prayer.
But yesterday, some kid in the back rows farted so loud, that it really rocked the whole mosque. It was pin drop silence, and all of a sudden there was a loud bang. :b
Initially it startled many people, then came a wave of laughter from the back rows, and many people couldn't hold it.
Almost three rows went out to wash again. Most of the kids were sent to a separate section of the mosque,as they couldn't stop teasing the "Mr bang",and the prayers were completed without any further incident :>>

  • Cool party trick

Explain that just as a glass prism splits up the different colours of white light, when different coloured light passes through glass, it is also affected to an extent that depends on its colour.
Write the words CARBON DIOXIDE on a piece of paper, CARBON in red and DIOXIDE in blue. Put the paper close behind the stem of a wine glass and look at the words through the stem. The red letters turn upside down, but the blue ones don't.
So is the glass affecting the red light more than the blue?

    cd1
You weren't fooled, were you? This has nothing to do with the different colours of the words, or of red light being bent more or less than blue light. The stem of the wine glass turns both words upside down, but because DIOXIDE is symmetrical about a horizontal line, you don't notice that it is upside down - it looks just the same either way!
    cd2

    Chinese women 'need bigger bras'

Bra producers have been forced to offer bigger cup sizes in China because improved nutrition means women are busting previous chest measurements.
The Beijing Institute of Clothing Technology said the average chest size of Chinese women had increased by nearly 1cm in the past decade.

Measurements were taken from nearly 3,000 women over six years.

In response, some underwear companies have created sub-brands specialising in larger bra sizes.

"It is so different from the past when most young women would wear A- or B-cup bras," Triumph brand saleswoman Zhang Jing told the Shanghai Daily.
The Hong Kong-based lingerie firm Embry Group no longer produces A-cups for larger chest circumferences and has increased production of C-, D- and E-cup bras to meet demand.

In march this year RBS charged me 80 pounds of bank penalty charges.I refused to pay that, because i did not think it was justified.NOW somehow, they have come up with a bill of 650 pounds.
I don't know how they did it,but thats it.On 27th of august this year, the high court put a hold to all claims regarding bank penalty charges. That included my claim, which i had filed through a solicitor.
But that's where the discrimination begins.
The customers can't complain to the court or FSA or the Bank about how they can justify charging us 38 pounds on each refused direct debit.
But the banks can still ask us to pay it.Kiss my ass
So hard nose safriz has written to the RBS to take me to the court,as i am not going to pay them anything. It's just not right.
