Me me me me and only me
one day you lot are gona be fed up of my stories, here is another one. ![]()
He was 17,tall white,blond teenager.
I met him....not really met him...but saw him going to the little mosque of my little town in the Himalayan foot hills of northern Pakistan.
I was a teenager my self, and was playing cricket with my mates. In that age i did not care much about religious practices. It was the time of prayer and i was meant to be in the mosque, but i preffered playing cricket.
After a while,we saw him coming towards us.He was wearing a proper Muslim dress, with turban.
It was unusual for us to see a westerner in that outfit,so we got distracted and stopped our thrilling cricket match.
He came near, shook hand with all of us and asked us to go with him to the mosque and pray,as it the time of prayer. His words were so impressive, and he had such an effect on us that we left everything and followed him to the mosque.
After we said our prayers,we had our first introduction with him.He was David 2 months ago,and was living in newyork with his mother. His mother was an army Sargent.
He somehow bumped into some religious books in the library, eventually read books about Islam, then approached a Muslim cleric, and out of his own choice and interest embraced Islam. He was 2 months old Muslim, but was so perfect in practicing the religion that it really ashamed us,the born Muslims.Only one question came to all of our mind, why we are not practicing our religion, when he can.
After meeting him,and having a short conversation with him,we were totally changed, mostly out of shame and envy.
The same thing happened to thousands of "Born Muslims" whom he met during his trans Pakistan tour.
He was on a self imposed preaching tour, and according to him,we born Muslims needed help and were on the verge of abandoning or deteriorating our religion.
He proved to be like a massaya,to so many drug addicts, womanizers, gambling addicts, alcoholics, all born Muslims.
All of them thought only one thing, that if he can be so pious in two months, why can't we be the same?
After all we are born Muslims, and still chose to include ourselves in this clan.
When he passed through markets, people would shut their busy shops and follow him to the mosque. There was some kind of light coming out of him.
Hundreds of drug addicted and criminals left their bad habits, and became caring and friendly family members and kind neighbors, and practicing Muslims.
All of this due to a 17 year old.
Today thousands of us Pakistani Muslims choose to hate USA and eventually it's people because this country is invading islam and Muslims.
I may or may not agree with that claim, but i know an American who made me and thousands like me "Practicing Muslims".
People from my town were so impressed with him that later, a group traveled all the way to newyork to meet him.He was living there as an icon of purity for people regardless of their religion. He gained the status of "wise man" in his community and people came to him for advice.
