The Bermuda triangle is world famous,but few people know about the existance of another area in the South Indian ocean where something strange is known to happen.

On the east coast of South Africa,in calm weather,ships have experienced wall of water advancing towards them as high as 20 meters.

Since this is not a very busy shipping route,few ships have been lost/damaged by this unpredictable Giant wave.

It comes with a trough in front of it,the boat falls in the trough and the giant wall of water passes on top of it.

It is a known fact that giant waves occur on the South African coast in the Agulhas current region, where southwesterly gales prevail against the southward flowing Agulhas current. Professor Mallory of Cape Town University analysed the recorded conditions that prevailed each time a number of ships were damaged by exceptional waves, and found that in all cases the dominant waves were always from the southwest.

The weather patterns play a major part in that the most dangerous period occurs when cells of low pressure are moving along the coast in a northeasterly direction. These lows are a regular feature of the eastern seaboard and it often happens that during their passage the wind can change from a near northeasterly gale to a southwesterly gale, sometimes in a matter of minutes. The southwest wind then reinforces the existing waves generated by a short choppy sea, which acts directly against the Agulhas current.

It is the interaction between the strong southwesterly wind and the strong south flowing current which at times can reach 6 knots that creates monstrous freak waves, of which the charts warn: "Abnormal waves of up to 20 meters in height, preceded by deep troughs may be encountered in the area between the edge of the continental shelf and twenty miles to seaward thereof". The warning also describes the necessary evasive action to be taken under unfavourable conditions, namely, to stay clear of the areas seaward of the continental shelf. In other words, move inshore, inside the 200 meter line. This well established rule has given rise to the belief that the bottom topography plays a part in the generation of giant waves, but in fact this only plays an indirect role. "

This cave painting caught my attention.I found this on a website,and it is from Zimbabwe in africa.I have seen some othe cave drawings from Continental America.
Long time ago,i went on a trip to the Northen regions of my home country Pakistan.I saw a place where there were numerous stone age paintings.
The interesting thing is that all of these paintings are strikingly simillar.
USA and Pakistan are 10,000 miles away.How come the humans of that era draw simillar paintings,so far away from each other.
Did they have any way to contact each other?
There is something written in islamic theology.It says that humans lived much longer in pre historic era,than they live now.Then children were 200 years old.
There will be a time when grandma/grandpa will be 12 years old.
May be due to their long lives,they used to roam the earth,and physically meet each other.
Thats the only description i find for the simillarities in cave paintings so far apart.

In Islam,the humans are considered as the Pinnacle of the Universal system.All the Universal mechanism are said to be working for the benifit of human race.
In islamic theology,the Universal system works according to the deeds of humans.
If we are good,everything will work propperly.There will be no freak weather.
It is mentioned that we are living beings who are effected by each other's deeds,and need to ask each other to be good.That is obvious in many ways.Green house gasses produced by industrial countries,stop the rain fall in non-industrial africa(just an example).
When more humans will be bad,the universal system will will start to detereorate.When more humans will be good,the universal system will mend itself and will work properly.
It is mentioned that "There are places,where people are so bad that Allah does not want to give them rain,but gives rain due to the innocent animals".
There were times when people were pure.Jews were truey jews,christians were pure christians,Muslims were pure muslims,Non-beleivers were hardcore non-beleivers.Same was with other religions.
Now we are mostly pretenders,and hypocrats.We say something else and do something else.

Mysteries like Brmuda Triangle,Lochness monster,and simillar are based on unexplained accidents.Or sightings.There is no hard scientific proof for any.

Pakistan intenation airline (PIA) lost a plane in 1989,in the northern mountainous areas.No debri,or survivors were ever found.There was no SOS signal from the plane either.

Massive search was launced after the plane lost contact with control tower,but nothing has been found to this date.

I am planning to give that area a new monster.Atleast PIA will be able to blame the monster for the accident,and for a few near miss,in the same area.

While searching for the missing plane,the search parties foun the remains of an un identified plane.No records were found of that plane,although it was there,but no body knew when it crashed,and who were the people inside.

I love nature since my childhood.I have observed many changes in the environment in thast two decades.
In my home town,we used to get a lot of snow fall 20 years ago,now we rarely get rain.
As a child i enjoyed the sight of migrating birds in autumn,from mountains to warmer plains.
The birds don't migrate anymore,because up in the Himalayan mountains,winters are not so cold now.

On BBC i saw a program about the polar ice cap,and they said that with the current rate,the north pole may lose all the ice in 30 years.
That is too scary for me.

I saw something in Quran,it scared me much.

The Quran mentions a creature "yajooj majooj".
The legend says that they used to roam the earth thousands of years ago,and were notorious.
They looked somewhat like the Gremlins,or the orcs of "Lord of the rings",infact the author of Lord of the rings got the idea of Orcs from "Gog and Mogog" as in The Bible.
The legen further says that a great king "Zul-Qar-Nain" imprisoned them behind a salt wall,enforced with lead sheets.He did so on the request of the "Northern People".
Most of the present day Muslim scolors beleive that they are imprisoned under the Arctic ice sheet.When they will be released,they will out number humanity,and consume all our food sources.
Like the aliens of the movie "war of the worlds",humans will not be able to defeat them,until they all will die due to a disease.
Since i am a beleiver,to me it sounds too scary that the ice that is holding the freakish creatures,is melting so fast.

The Indus valley civilization flourished on the banks of River indus in central Pakistan,some 5000 years ago.
It was a trading community with highly developed civic sense.The ruins of this ancient city is now a world heritage site.
Nothing is known about how the civilization was eventually destroyed.
One theory is that they became sitting ducks due to highly sophisticated life styles,and invading Ariyans from europe killed them all.
But,scientists have found human skeletons with unusually high radiation levels from these ruins.
This can't be explained,unless there was a source of high radio activity in the area.With no meteorite crators arround,it can't be a rock from space.

I have been blogging for the last 7 months,and i got 2506 visits of my profile.That is too much for a one line profile description,and a donkey.

Today i came to know of a new mobile phone scam.
I received a text from 07033300067.It said "Did you call me?".Many of my friends text me or give me miss call,and i call them back.
I get 1000 cross-network minutes every month.I called this number,thinking that it is a friend,the number was attended,but no body spoke from the other side,it was a complete silence.
I hun up,and later found that this was not a mobile number but a premium rate number,and i was charged for this call.
Simillar thing happenned to many friends.All UK mobile phone nubbers start with 07,so i thought this is a mobile number,and calling back was free for me.Instead they tricked me and many others to call back on a premium rate number,and they would have made a lot of money.
Beware,UK mobile numbers start with 07,but not 070,as this will be a premium rate number.

Skylab,was an ambitious american space program to build a space station.It was in july 1979 when the skylab started to plunge towards earth.

It had many radioactive batteries.
No body was sure about it's place of impact,but it was posing great danger to earthlings.
I was 5 years old and we did not have a television,just a radio.
I remamber my father listening to the radio,and telling us that something nasty is about to fall from the sky.

People did not understand much about space and radioactivity.

News got mixed with rumours.
Many people were sure that the world is about to end and we are all going to die.
I remember my old aunt started to wear her best dresses,and said that since i am about to die when this skylab falls,so i want to look good at the end of my life.Many people in Pakistan started to do simillar things.People started to eat the best food,many even went on holidays.
Some parents named their new born babies "Skylab Khan" or "Skylab singh".
My grandma said us last goodby every night before she went to sleep,as she used to be on the look out all day for the skylab,and in the night she sighed "well it did not fall even today"
On clear nights,right after sunset,me and my 4 years old sister and my mother,used to go on the roof top,and keep a constant watch for any signs of the skylab.
Every shooting star made us scared to death,and thn we laughed at each other,teasing each other on how scared we were.
Those were scary,funny and memorable days.
Eventually the nasty thing fell in the Pacific ocean,and parties were thrown in my town on the news.

Finally if they prove to be innocent,all the world will see them with suspicion,and they will get a lot of trouble for being suspects.
Finding a job will be harder.The first suspect,a supermarket worker even lost his job.
It is a strange behaviour from the media,that if a suspect in cases like this,or any other is a female,her name and ID is kept secret even after conviction.But men face public humiliation even before being proved guilty.
Same is with women pedophiles.Many women have sex with boys of less than 18 years of age.But rarely a woman gets convicted of pedophilia.
If women are equal to men in all aspects of life,why not in court convictions and media coverage of that.
One standard for men and another for women?

My computer is plagued with adwares and trojans.
Some one out there is downloading my entire hard drive.I am no bank or a financial institute or CIA or MI6.
I haven't got a clue why that person is so much interested in my computer's data.
Still struggling to get rid of all the viruses that were uploaded to my system by some one i don't know.
I know i will do it.

The pilot will go down with them. The reason is that USA has not provided any spare parts for over 10 years, but still the Pakistanis are flying those planes.
They buy spares from black market, or make them at home. The spares from black market are many times expensive. The spares made at home, have to be kept secret and in limits quantity due to copyrights.
The safety bit of the planes is being neglected for this reason.

A 6 Billion Pounds deal with The Kingdom of Saudi arabia was salvaged by Blair government,as they abandoned the bribary investigation against the Saudi royals.
The saudis threatend to cancel the purchase of 72 eurofighters from UK if an investigation into a previous arms deal was not cancelled.
The UK government came to terms with them,as this would have ended up in the closure of Euro Fighter related factories across the UK,and hence a loss of thousands of jobs.

Many Britons may take it as an insult to their country.
In my opinnion Blair did the right thing.
Apart from the financial aspect of this deal.there are certain other things,which are over looked by the critics.
This arms deal and simillar deals with Muslim countries is more about keeping them in hand.
Counries like Pakistan and Iran are the examples.Previously both nations were using foreign war mechines.Pakistan used to get all it's weaponry from USA and Iran got it from USSR.
Later,Pakistan faced embargoes from the US,and hence stopped receiving any weapons.
This made them to try and make weapos of their own.Now they make their own tanks,ballistic missiles,air defence systems.They even have made their own fighter jets.All because,they stopped getting these things from abroad.
Simillar thing if done to Saudi arabia,they will first buy weapons from alternative sources,such as china,or even Pakistan.Eventually they may try and make aircrafta and other defence systems of their own,and there goed the west's upper hand.
Thats why i think that Blair did the right thing in this situation.

My computer is being bombarded with viruses.
I have tried so many anti-virus softwares,but nothing seems to cure my comp.
I can't check my e-mail,don't wan't to do digital banking as it is now very dangerous.

This is a daring blog entry for me.
Last nigt i read an article about pubes. To my surprise, I came to know that many people find them arousing.
Myself, I can't bear them. Mainly due to my religious beliefs have to shave them once a week, all around.
When i was entering puberty and my armpits and pubic hair started to grow for the first time, traditionally i went to a cleric to eek advice.
He told me the procedure and limitations about them according to Islamic law.
He told me one thing that few people know, I suppose.
Pubic hair have to be shaved with a razor, but armpit hair if not shaved by razor since the first time, they can be easily plucked, as they are very soft. Shaving gradually makes them hard.

Myself,i pluck my arm pits,and it is not atall painful,as i never used blade or cream for it.

I try to visit all my blog friends.
I visit their blog very often,although i may not leave a comment.
Some friends have gone missing,and don't seem to blog anymore.
For safriz a friend is a friend and is important,even a blog friend.
But a friend is a friend if around and in touch.
There is a saying in my language about this situation,i will try to translate "You tend to forget some thing as big and prominent as a mountain,if you don't see it for a while".It's not the same though,but simillar.
Today safriz will delete some blog friends,but will welcome them if they come back and contact me.

I sold a Nokia N80 mobile phone on it.
It wasa a phone with Orange sim lock.I mentioned it in the item description,but did not change the heading as amazon does not allow sellers to change it.
Now the buyer who bought my phone for 220 pounds reported to amazon that the item is not as described.
Amazon paid him back his full amount,and i did not get my phone.
The buer is not responding to any of my messages and amazon is saying that it is between you an the buyer,although they were the ones who deducted the full cost of the phone fron my account.
So there goes my 220 pounds.

JEDDAH, 4 June 2005 — A survey conducted on 100 single women aged between 18 and 24 showed that 50 percent of them were ready to marry rich men as old as their fathers, Al-Watan daily reported.

The report said half the women surveyed preferred an older, richer man because “they are morally and financially ready to handle the responsibilities of a house and wife.”

Thirty percent of women preferring old men said they did not trust younger men while 20 percent said older men “treat women with maturity and respect”.

Seventy-five percent of those surveyed said they prefer a rich man, according to the survey.

Sara Badi, an 18-year-old high school student, told Al-Watan: “I cannot live with a man who depends on a job salary only, because I don’t believe in the idea that two people need to build their future together.”

Rawya Sharaf, a 20-year-old university student, said she would not marry a man who could not provide “a dream house, diamonds, honeymoon in one of the international capitals and a maid and driver”

The statistics can't be much differant if simillar survey carried out else where.
I read a survey in forbes website in which they claimed that 70% women will preffer rich old man as a husband.

Fat ones want to be thin, and thin ones (like me) want to be bulky.

NASA will be sending some people to the moon in 2020.
This time they will try to make colonies on moon.

This is a Mosque (Masjid) in islamabad Pakistan.
The main hal has no pillars,and can hold 80,000 people.
The surrounding covered area and garden has room for another 200,000.
Usually there are not too many worshippers attending this ,mosque,only local tourists.
But on occasions like "Eid",this mosque looks small for the massive crowds who come here for the annual prayer.

The British Government is about to decide a multi billion pounds spending on nuclear powered, ballistic missile carrier, sub marines, and about buying new submarine launch able intercontinental ballistic missiles.
Sounds cool, and scary. But the question is, does Britain need this?
These subs are mainly used for "Mutually assured destruction”. It means that if some country strikes first and some how UK gets scorched by the nukes, even then the attacking nation is going to face a nuclear retaliation.
This threat is used as a deterrent.
These submarines can be stationed any where in the world's oceans, and are difficult to detect.
Does Britain face any real Nuclear threat, and is in need if deterring it?
The only "Enemy nations" that have nuclear capabilities are North Korea and Pakistan and may be Iran.
All three countries don't have long range airplanes to carry nukes to Britain, and don't have Nuclear submarines either.
The only option is a Nuclear tipped Ballistic missile attack.
None of the above mentioned countries have long range missile which is capable of reaching the UK.
Plus there are some technical issues.
The UK or USA fired missiles can be very accurate due to the use of GPS+INS.But as the GPS satellite system is owned and operated by the US ministry of defence,they can switched off when they want. So any foreign missile depending on it for guidance can be easily "misguided".
The other option is the use of "INS" or Inertial navigation system. The Pakistani built INS is mainly dependant upon "Ring laser gyroscopes”, giving them good directional stability, but can't be too accurate.
May be good for large city sized targets.
Ok if they decide to fire their ballistic missiles on the UK,their nuclear warheads are no more than afew Kilo tons of explosive power.
Not enough to destroy even a small city.
To retaliate such an attack, the land based missiles will be enough. They cost less and are low maintainance,compared to the submarine based ones.
Or these missiles can be shot down on re-entry,using the missile defence system.

So,Brittain does not need any new nukes or sub marines to deter any bad intentions from North korea , Pakistan or Iran. They will need these toys or even more, if they go to war with countries like Russia,USA,France or China.

This money can be spent on much better thing

In the recent years, the oil rich nation of Iran has been developing some interesting military technologies.
Similar things were done by the tiny isolated nation of North Korea.
The international community, especially the western nations have been asking for more and more embargoes and sanctions against them.
Pakistan blasted sub-terrain nukes in 1998,and seismic shock waves confirmed the nation's claims.
The UN wasted no time in imposing embargoes against Pakistan. Many arms deals with US companies were cancelled.
The Americans cancelled the shipment of F-16's and AWACS radar systems. The French cancelled their joint project of building nuclear power plants.
Most Pakistani businessmen were banned from traveling to USA and most western countries.
For some time these things shattered the nation's economy and made it vulnerable to neighboring India, because they had much advanced weaponry.
But life goes on. Pakistani businessmen started doing business with china, middle east and east Europe.
Pakistan Air force designed and built their own Strike fighter, which was 10 times cheaper than the F-16 fighter jets and was very cost effective.
Pakistani scientists built defence systems of their own which are now being exported.
The nation relied upon US grants and loans before the sanctions. After the sanctions,there was no hope for foreign aid,giving the economy a much needed freedom,and busineses explored and ventured thus the economy grew exponentially.
So, my verdict, based on the experience of Pakistan is that sanctions and embargoes are the wrong moves, to stop Iran or North Korea from making weapons.

The russians recently killed one of their ex-secret service person,by radiation poisoning.
Is it some thing unusual?
I don't think so.These people,depending on the amount of work they did for their country,eventually have simillar ends. (Although it's a pity)
The British man,who broke the German Enigma code,was one of the greatest mathematechian of all times.
He not only saved thousands of lives by de-coding the secret german messages,but he was also one of the pioneers in computers and softwares.
What happenned to him (Allen Turning).He was prosecuted for being a gay,and eventually was found dead with a cynide drenched,half eaten apple.
Not the end e deserved.
The Pakistani man (Abdul Qadeer Khan) who designed the nation's nuclear reactors,was charged with treason.
Almost all nations of the world treat these heroes simillarly.
