Blogs are written to express on's self and to know other people's ideas.
Although a blog is owned by the writer, but people spend time on reading the blog enteries and then commenting on them, and this thing should be respected.
Abusive comments are not acceptable, but at the same time they can be considered as part of the debate.
If a blog owner does not want to blog any more,he/she should leave the blog as it is,rather than deleting it.
I find it unfair to obsolete other people's work in the form of comments.
A very recent example is the deletion of www.superkween.blog.co.uk .
I used to visit this blog everyday, and had a comment on almost every blog entry. But one day i found that the whole blog was deleted by the blog owner.
Along with the blog owner's work,my work in the form of comments, went down the drain.

Come on, fair's fair... You claim it's unfair that someone delete their blog thus deleting your comments on that blog, but at the same time, you have recently deleted or edited many comments I have written on your blog. If you're gonna whinge about soemthing, may I suggest you aren ;t actually behaving in the same way.
I wanted to delete the blog www.superkween.blog.co.uk and by you reserving it; holiding on to it, was not going to bring it back. One does not have to justify why they choose to delete their blog, and I am no exception.
I know what your aim is in writing this blog, you are indeed transparent. You want to receive responses from other bloggers who agree with you in an attempt to 'get back at me'. Sorry dude, it just ain't working. I will however, have my two pence worth, since you are writing about my previous blog here. That is providing you don't decide to edit this message.-

Didn't really understood fervid.Infact your comment confused me.
Specially the phrase "get back at me"?
What do you mean?

- 2006-11-27 @ 22:45:14
You and I both know exactly what you mean.

no sir,i don't know what you mean, please be kind to explain it,or let me guess.
If you mean that by any means i want(ed) you to restart superkween, you are wrong.
Even if you do,it will never be the same again.Things that have been deleted can't be retreived.
But if you mean something else,i really don't know until you explain.-

Until you stop addressing me as "sir".... I will not oblige.

Ok i have checked your profile "fervid" and now know that you are a lady, and now understand that you were the owner of the blog in discussion "superkween".
I think i knew you.
So now pls go ahead and explain to me the phrase i mentioned.
That is if you want.

I've never thought about it before, I can see your point but I think the blog's owner has at the end the right to delete his/her blog, when we comment on someone's else blog we are doing in what is after all someone else's property and thus might not always be available to us. I don't intend to delete my blog for the time being but I might do it one day for whatever reason and I would feel perfectly entitled to do that.

I agree mf_london.
I deleted the blog superkween because i had included things about myself; things I no longer wished to have out there in cyberspace. I should not have to justify that.

I think it is the blog owner's right to delete the blog if they so desire.
