A lot of people have their opinnions about other cultures,religions and people on second hand sources of information.
Not many scottish have ever talked with a muslim or an asian or black or chinese,because there are very few up there.
Simillar is the situation in many parts of the world,where people have their concepts about others via media.Media can be biased,specially those days.
I myself is a muslim pakistani currently living in the UK.I have come across people who have asked me things like " Do you have electricity in Pakistan?" or "All of you have four wives?" , or "Is there no medical fascility for women in Pakistan?".
Someone asked me in denmark "Do you still live in caves?"...
Some one i was chatting with,over the internet,dropped down dead,when she was told by me that i am chatting her from Pakistan,she was from trinidad.She just couldn't beleive that there is internet in Pakistan,and people actually use it.
Pakistan is a country who doesn't recocnise the state of israel,and there is almost no jew living there.
I never saw a jew in my life,until the age of 27.I met a newyorker business man in belize,and he was a jew.
I saw him while having dinner at a hotel in Belize.I recognised him by the 6 cornered star he was wearing.
As a nosy guy i approached him and asked himif i could talk to him.It was not very odd doing this,as the restaurant was already empty and only two of us were there in that late night hour.He`was fairly friendly,and told me a lot about jews,and israel.
This hour long chat,cleared a lot of my concepts,and atleast stopped me from being stereotype.
It's good to have a chat with people of other cultures,nationalities,and religions.They may be living around you.They may not deserve to be avoided like plague.

I was in karachi,Pakistan at the time of 9/11..I was watching CNN.they showed a video of a few pakistani youths dancing on the streets,playing a drum,and giving sweets to people.CNN claimed that it is a latest video in which Pakistanis were celebrating the 911 attacks.Infact the same video i and millions of pakistanis had seen on the state run PTV channel,when a the national cricket team won a match against india,about 6 months before 911.These people were infact celebrating a cricket victory.It was a spoof.
he same video when seen abroad by someone who doesn't know it's origin,definately had felt very bad and odd,that why someone will celebrate death and destruction...

Many states in USA forbid cousin marrages,and it is not thought to be right in the UK,i don't know what the law says here.
I tried to find why cousin marrages are considered all out "Taboo"
Many consider it being equivalent to marraiage between brother and sister.The technical definition of brother and sister should be that they have either both common parents,or have one common parent.

The rest can't be considered as brothers and sisters,technically speaking.

Religion first, we look at christianity.....

Well all that I can say is that the bible... doesn't say a lot on "Cousin Marriage" !
Anyway, the most important will be found, I guess, in LEVITICUS 18, which tells you all the relation ship you should not have with your relatives, but nothing about cousins !

In GENESIS 24:15, 48, 67, we learn that Isaac married his "first cousin once removed", Rebekah, daughter of Bethuel, son of Milcah, wife of Nahor, brother of Abraham.
Ok, it can sound a little fuzzy, so I invite you to have a look to the Genealogical tree.
Oh, just a precision, Isaac is Abraham's son !

In GENESIS 28:2; 29:10; 29:28, we learn that Jacob, son of Isaac married his FIRST COUSINS, Leah and Rachel, (yes both of them !)
Rachel & Leah, daughters of Laban, brother of Jacob's mother Rebekah.

Research downplays risk of cousin marriages

Marriage between first cousins, long a major legal, social and religious taboo, is far less likely to produce abnormal children than is commonly believed, a study by leading genetics researchers says.

"Stigma still attaches to these unions," says Robin Bennett, a genetics counselor at the University of Washington and the study's lead author.

"But there's no good social or biological reason that should be. There's a lot of misinformation out there that is really holding back some cousins who want to try to have children," Bennett says.

Bennett's team, which included researchers from Stanford University and the National Society of Genetic Counselors, spent more than two years studying health statistics on the offspring of first-cousin marriages in North America, Africa, Asia and the Middle East.

The researchers concluded that children of marriages between cousins inherited recessive genetic disorders, such as cystic fibrosis and Tay-Sachs disease, in 7% to 8% of cases. For the general population, the rate was 5%.

The study suggests that doctors and genetics counselors not discourage cousins from procreating. Instead, it says, they should take family disease histories and offer ordinary genetic services such as fetal and newborn disease testing.

The study is in the April edition of the Journal of Genetic Counseling.

Despite the findings, some genetics specialists say they will continue to urge caution.

"A 7 to 8% chance (of genetic disorder) is 50% greater than a 5% chance," says Philip Reilly, geneticist and author of Abraham Lincoln's DNA, a popular history of human genetics.

"That's a significant difference. People counseling first cousins who want to marry need to be very careful and clear on this," Reilly says.

Scientists say there are at least 5,000 diseases caused by inherited mutations called recessive genes. Possessing a single copy of the mutation is often harmless, but if a copy is inherited from each parent, the result can be death or chronic disease. Because first cousins share a pair of grandparents, the chances are greater that each will pass a copy of a "bad gene" to their child, triggering the disorder.

Cousin marriage has been widespread in rural societies, where it serves to keep money and property within families. The practice is still popular in much of the Muslim world, including Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. Genetics researcher Alan Bittles estimates that 20% of marriages worldwide are between relatives who are first cousins.

Genetics counselors say there are no exact figures for the USA, but experience suggests that about one marriage in 1,000 is between first cousins. Jewish and Christian traditions discourage cousin marriage. The Roman Catholic Church requires cousins to get special permission before they marry.

In Brooklyn, N.Y., a rabbi maintains a database that allows Jews to see whether a potential marriage partner carries the recessive gene for Tay-Sachs, a fatal enzyme disorder that is prevalent in Jewish families.

Apart from the slightly higher risk of handing over one's genetic disorders to the off springs,there are no evils related to cousin marrages.
These genetic disorders may or may not happen,not sure.
These days when people think that gay marrages are ok,and are campaining for it.I don't think that there is anything bad in cousin marriage.

Yes i remember the afghan refugees flowing in ourpoor and densely populated country,Pakistan.Three million came there after the USSR invaded their homeland.
We had all the sympathies for them,and we were prepared to do all that we could do to help them.
I was 8 years old then.I remember my dad gave an afghan family one of our empty land,for making a small tent colony.There were around 6 tents in our land.We gave them free electricity and water.All ourold clothings and shoes were given to them,and occasionally they asked us for food,and allof us cooked a day's meal for them.
Many locals around us did the same.

Today i had a look at some website and came to know about a few things.
I was more interested in saving money in fuel expenses.I found that diesel cars can run on vegitable oils,even used oil.
There are cheap processing plants available that cost around 1000 pounds,and will produce biodiesel for your car.
Comparatively,now diesel costs around 97p in the UK,and bio diesel will cost you 75p,and it gives better miles per gallon,and low emission.
Car manufacturers like Audi,VW recommend 100% biodiesel for their diesel engines,with some if's and but's.
Some companies are producing and selling it already , in the UK.
To me all this looked very practical.Specially for the people running a chippy shop or a take away,who throw away a lot of veg.oil, can convert it to biodiesel and use in their cars.
I will not do any such thing,as i am a muslim living in the UK,and i keep a beard.If i am seen using all those chemicals and beakers and a stupid looking piece of mechine in my back yard.I will be on the BBC news,as an alleged suicide bomber who was making a weapon of mass destruction in his back yard,namely biodiesel.

The Cuban Missile Crisis was the closest the world ever came to nuclear war. The United States armed forces were at their highest state of readiness ever and Soviet field commanders in Cuba were prepared to use battlefield nuclear weapons to defend the island if it was invaded. Luckily, thanks to the bravery of two men, President John F. Kennedy and Premier Nikita Khrushchev, war was averted.

In 1962, the Soviet Union was desperately behind the United States in the arms race. Soviet missiles were only powerful enough to be launched against Europe but U.S. missiles were capable of striking the entire Soviet Union. In late April 1962, Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev conceived the idea of placing intermediate-range missiles in Cuba. A deployment in Cuba would double the Soviet strategic arsenal and provide a real deterrent to a potential U.S. attack against the Soviet Union.

Meanwhile, Fidel Castro was looking for a way to defend his island nation from an attack by the U.S. Ever since the failed Bay of Pigs invasion in 1961, Castro felt a second attack was inevitable. Consequently, he approved of Khrushchev's plan to place missiles on the island. In the summer of 1962 the Soviet Union worked quickly and secretly to build its missile installations in Cuba.

Missile Map For the United States, the crisis began on October 15, 1962 whenreconnaissance photographs revealed Soviet missiles under construction in Cuba. Early the next day, President John Kennedy was informed of the missile installations. Kennedy immediately organized the EX-COMM, a group of his twelve most important advisors to handle the crisis. After seven days of guarded and intense debate within the upper echelons of government, Kennedy concluded to impose a naval quarantine around Cuba. He wished to prevent the arrival of more Soviet offensive weapons on the island. On October 22, Kennedy announced the discovery of the missile installations to the public and his decision to quarantine the island. He also proclaimed that any nuclear missile launched from Cuba would be regarded as an attack on the United States by the Soviet Union and demanded that the Soviets remove all of their offensive weapons from Cuba.

During the public phase of the Crisis, tensions began to build on both sides. Kennedy eventually ordered low-level reconnaissance missions once every two hours. On the 25th Kennedy pulled the quarantine line back and raised military readiness to DEFCON 2. Then on the 26th EX-COMM heard from Khrushchev in an impassioned letter. He proposed removing Soviet missiles and personnel if the U.S. would guarantee not to invade Cuba. October 27 was the worst day of the crisis. A U-2 was shot down over Cuba and EX-COMM received a second letter from Khrushchev demanding the removal of U.S. missiles in Turkey in exchange for Soviet missiles in Cuba. Attorney General Robert Kennedy suggested ignoring the second letter and contacted Soviet Ambassador Anatoly Dobrynin to tell him of the U.S. agreement with the first.

Tensions finally began to ease on October 28 when Khrushchev announced that he would dismantle the installations and return the missiles to the Soviet Union, expressing his trust that the United States would not invade Cuba. Further negotiations were held to implement the October 28 agreement, including a United States demand that Soviet light bombers be removed from Cuba, and specifying the exact form and conditions of United States assurances not to invade Cuba.

Her name was sara.she was tall,blond,blue eyed and all the lads fancied her.She lived in a village in the hazara district of north Pakistan.
When she was fifeteen,her family engaged her to a handsome seventeen years old,called Sami.
They attended the same college,in the nearby town of Haripur.
Sami met sara almost everyday,and his love for her increased everytime he saw her.She had a marvelous smile,and sami always felt privillaged,everytime she gave it to him.
Acress the nearby national highway,there was another village,with about hundred homes.Both villages had about the same population.
In this other village,lived Zarak.A tall grey eyed muscular blond man.Too moody to fall for any girl,although he was fancied fancied by most of the girls who knew him.Furthe down the national highway,Zarak had a farm of his own,in a rather deserted place.A large old villa stood on this farm,which was about hundred years old,and was not in a good shape.
Zarak's dog went mad and showed all signs of rabies.He was keeping it tied with a rope.It had been two days and he could no more see the dog suffering and was planning to shoot it in the night.
About mid day,sara was coming back from her college and Zarak's dog broke it's rope,crossed the national highway and ran towards sara.In the mean time Zarak heard his dog running away and immediately grabbed his gun,and ran after it.
Sara had a sharp mind,as she saw the dog running toward her,she climbed a tree.Meanwhile zarak arrived with his gun and shot the dog.
Zarak stood beneath the tree and saw at the dead dog,with sorrow.Zara felt safe now and tried to come down from the tree,add she fell on top of Zarak.Nobody was around and sara was on top of Zarak,both of them looked at each other,first shocked,then the laughed,and got up.Sara said thankyou,zarak said sorry,and he removed the dog to burry it ,and sara went home.
In the night both of them could'nt stop thinking about each other,they had felt each other,already.
There was a marrage in sara's village next week and,all of zarak's village was invited.
Traditionally all house holds in that area keep a gun.Most of them have Ak-47 kalashnakov rifels.It is illegal in pakistan to keep a gun without liscence , but governament issues liscence to people in these areas easily.
All men like to fire bullets in the air as part of marrage celebrations.thousands of bullets are fired in a marrage,to make as much noise as possible.People has bought hundreds of bullets from arms shops in the nearby town of Abbottabad.
Marrage in these areas were about a month long celebration.All the firing was tobe done on the last day,due to restrictions from police.
Sara met zarak the next day while coming back from college,as he was apparantly waiting for her.She gave him a very good response,and it looked as if both of them liked each other.
It then started as short meetings,whenever oppertunity arised.Sara and zarak started to meet frequently within a week.
Sami on the other hand didn't have any idea about what is happeneing to sara,but he did notice the change in behaviour.
As the date of the marrage in sara's village approached,a prominent person died and in his respect the marrage celebrations were delayed for another fourty days.
A month had passed in their relation,and nobody knew about it,when one day a child saw them talking to each other in the apple garden.This apple garden belonged to sara's family.The kid told it's mom,and she was on a nearby well,washing her clothes.The kid's mom,also saw them.By the evening many people in her village were talking about it.The next day,sara was stopped from going to college by her father,who wanted to have a word with her.
The old man asked her,if she is seeing zarak or not.She denied it.The old man said to her,it's ok then I will shut up the people talking this rubbish about my daughter.
Sara's mom approache herlater and sara told all about it to her,the old lady was shocked,and asked sara why she is doing this,sara replied that she likes Zarak.Her mom asked about sami,and sara said she didn't want to marry him.The old lady asked sara why she didn't ask assistance ron her before starting all this,and sara didn't say anything.
That night sara's mom talked about all this to raza,sara's dad.Raza was furious,as his daughter lied to him,but he was grieved that why she accepted sami as a fiancey in the first place,when she was asked about it.
That night nobody could really sleep.
Sara was told to stay indoors,by her family while they could try to find a solution for this.
It took another two days for raza to gather courage and go to sami's house.
Raza talked to sami's parents,and told them to cancel the engagement,saying that sara wanted to study more,and your son is not so educated.
They left the decission on sami.
Sami couldn't beleive what he was listening from his parents at f=irst,as he lovd sara for the last six years,and it was another one year when sara was to finish her education,and sami was to marry her.
Sami straight away said no.I can't leave her like this.
Sami was too upset when a friend of his approached him andd told him about zarak.Outraged sami went to his home,got hold of his gun and rushed for zarak's home.Som epeople from both villages saw sami rushing with a gun.
Sami banged zarak's door,and as he came out pointed the gun towards him and warned him to keep away from his fiancey.Some friends of both sami and zarak also arrived there,worried about their safety,and zarak eing a moody man,shouted insults at all of sami's group,and told them to go away.
This incident took place in the night and by the morning both villages had grudge against each other.
Both Sara nad Zarak were as clever as fox,they met the next night and decided to run away.
The next morning both of them were no where to be seen.
It was ashock for sara's family who were trying to solve the situation for their daughter.A group of elderly men approaches zarak's family and asked them to help them out of this situation.Zarak's cousins were also there,and determined to help zarak,in his love.
As the elderly talked indoors,an ugly brawl broke out among youngsters outside and some of sami's friends were injured.The elderly interviened to stop it.
Later tahat day,sami's cousins and friends met him,and promised mim to help,in getting back the girl he loves.
The matter was not taken to polece,as it had escalated the situation.
About two more days passed with no signs of zarak or sara.Later that night on eof Sami's friends spotted zarak approaching his village in the dark.Immediately sami and about fourty of his friends and cousinsa grabbed their guns and rushed towards zarak's village.Suspicious young men from zarak's village were on the lok out and they saw sami's group.
Dtermined to defend the cause of their friend,and their village,they too grabbed their guns,and within half an hour both groups awere standing in front of each other across the national highway.
Zarak was told to stay away from the scene by his friends,but he too appeared there.As zarak shouted abuse at sami,the next moment he dropped dead by sami's gunshot.
Both groups ran for cover and a frantic firing started.Both villages were being rocked by loud noise of lite mechine gun bursts.
Some people ran indoors for safety,others joined in with their guns.No body called police , as the gun shots were enough to call them.The police arived amid heavey firing across the road,and the best they could do was to block the highway,for public safety.Police called ambulances as they were expecting a lot of carnage.Seven ambulances arrived and were on the standby.
All the bullets purchased for being fired in the air for the marrage celebrations,were now being fired at each other,by both villages.
For two hours,firing continued,and women,children and old people inside homes could only pray.
Younger and more ambitious people on both sides,kept gathering there,some with guns,and couldn't resist the temptation to join in as they saw the dead bodies of their beloved ones.Some more wise tried to talk to their fellow villagers and calm them down.
The firing somehow stopped after two and a half hours.The police rushed in.But it was already too late.
Sami was also dead,and about twenty seven dead bodies were removed from both side of the road that night.
Fifeteen others were critically injured.More ambulances were called,and both the villages plunged into shock and sorrow.
The next day doctors were asking for blood donation,and frantically fighting to save the lives of the injured.Five of them died later that week.
Dead bodies of thirty youths were burried the third day,and both the villages werre now standing together,as they had seen enough already.
No police case was filed,as all those who had tobe accused were dead already.
Sara was never seen after that,and no dead body was ever found.
Two and a half hours of hysteria that left 32 men dead,in the name of family,friendship,honour,love and fellowship.
This story is based on actual events that took place in 1985,told to me by a man from sami's village.

Taliban were infact orphans of the afghan-soviet war,or the children of poor afghan refugees in Pakistan who could'nt afford to feed or educate them.All of them grew up in islamic shools (madrasa).Thes islamic schools are free,as they are funded mostly by the people of Pakistan,and partly by the governament.The governament's contribution is minimal.
They were admitted to these madrasas as orphans,who had no parents,as they were killed in the war,or as unwanted children,who's parents occasionally visited them,or not even that.These parents had the motive to teach islam to their children,but mostly the reasons were as mentioned above.
After spending about 9 to 10 years in these religious schools,this generation of mostly young men gained good enough knowledge if islam,and most of them were religious scholors.
I mention here that these islamic schools are a charity organisations,teaching varius islamic "Fiqah".The taliban mostly belonged to either "shafai" fiqah or theey were Ahl-e-hadith.
After the soviets left afghanistan,there was a power vacume,and there was no propper governament in the country.A gay marrage,somewhere in north west afghanistan,outraged the whole nation.It was done publically and was one of a kind incident there.The news quickly spread across the borders to pakistan,and a need for a power to stop such happenings was felt among the immigrant afghans.A mass migration back to the homeland,with the initiative of implimenting islam started.Since most of them were highly educated in islamic studies,and were good practicers of islam,the popular opinnion swung towards them,and hence the taliban movement started.People wanted to live as per the islamic laws.After centuries,in the history of islamic world,a true caliphate emerged.Many muslims from all over the world migtrated to afghanistan,even though many of them were from richer countrues like qatar,kuwait.They too wanted to live under a pure islamic governament.
The major flaw was a lack of islamic diplomacy,which the taliban govt didn't do,hence confronted the rest of the world.This caused their demise.

The originator of all modern day islamic renaissance movements are the muslims of india and pakistan.Currently Pakistan host the three main islamic movements.

No.1 has no official website,thus a non biased view is difficult to find about them on the internet.This is an old movement and has influenced the lives of millions worldwide.

Islam starts with the saying and beleiving in two sentences..they are
THERE IS NO DEITY WORTHY OF WORSHIP EXCEPT ALLAH, AND MUHAMMAD IS HIS MESSENGER

The religion islam can be defined in two sentences.
To obey the orders of Allah , on the way of the prophet Muhammed(Peace be upon him)

Anything outside these two sentences is not islam.

The orders of Allah are mentioned in quran , and the definition and ways to act upon them is told by the Prophet in Hadith(Prophet's sayings).

According to islamic theology Allah was the only one and there was nothing.Allah wanted to be discovered and loved by a creature who decides by it's own free will to love the divine being.

For this reason It created humanity,and gave the humans wisdom and free will.The divine being did not show itself , but created infinite number of clues and hints of it's existance.It wanted humans to look around and think of a creator,who created all this.

The divine being sent Prophets.All of them were humans.The main purpose of any prophet was to convey the messsage of Allah to fellow humans,and to tell and teach them about how to follow the orders of the divine being.The main purpose of a prophet was to be an example for humanity,for the practicability of Allah's orders.These trend setters were humans and proved to other humans that Allh's orders can be followed by humans.
They had an extra capability of directly communicating with the divine being.

Every prophet during their lifetimes,introduced the divine being to humanity by arguments and miracles.
Once people started to beleive in the supermacy of the divine being,they wanted to please It.This created a need of religion,which always is a set of advises to please the ultimate creator.Since humans are and have always been greedy and do everything for certain reason.
Here starts the concept of heaven and hell.
The life on earth will be transformed into an eternal life.This eternal life will never end.
For those who beleive and practice,will be rewarded in the heavens.Those who don't will be punished in the hell.This concept of afterlife is the backbone of religion,as without it nobdy can actually practice a religion.
We consist of two parts,one is the body,which is made of atoms and molicules,the other is the soul,which is made of energy.
The body will deteriorate and finish after death.The soul will survive and get rewarded or punished.
As a prophet died aftera life of preaching.There were a groupof perfect beleivers andpracticers of the religion of that particular time,and they peopagated that religion to next generations.As time passed these religions deteriorated and ended.Then a new prophet used to be sent,and this prophet too used towork through out his life to introduce humanity with the divine being and tell them ways of getting rewarded from It amd the disadvantages of not beleiving and or not following.
According to islamic beleifs.Islam was the last divine religion,and there will be no other.It is the most advanced formof all divine religions , such as jewism and christianity.
Mohammad(Peace be upon him) was the last prophet and there will be no other prophet after him.

Since the system of universe and religion was created to give humanity a choice to beleive and follow,and not to impose it.But humanity is given a choice,not to follow or beleive.Or beleive in a way of life oftheir own.

Thats the way it will remain until the end of time.

What a waste

Pakistan is a strong hold of islam,and this country has a large population of practical muslims.Turks also call themselves muslims but they can't be called practical.That was just an example to define "Practical muslim" .
I live north of islamabad,in the himalayan foot hills.The mountains here are between 8 to ten thousand feet high,but i don't live that high,just 4 thousand feet.
Near my home town of "Abbottabad" , there is a hospital called "Bach christian hospital",run and owned by german christian missionaries.
They are there to preach christianity,their way.They are very polite and gentle.The hospital is situated in a rural area,where the people are poor.
They don't charge any money from the poor.At the same time each hosoital room and ward has many copies of bibles translated in the local language.
The doctors and nurses encourage the mostly muslim patients to read the bible in their spare time.They talk to them about christanity,and preach them.
These missionaries are hardy people with a lot of money coming from germany and other resources.
The winters are harsh in the high mountains and remote villages are difficult to reach due to snow.
These people make dispenseries in the remote areas during winters.People in need of medical assistance visit them during winter,as the town of Abbottabad is difficult to reach.During this time many muslims convert to christianity.They get impressed by them,and they also pay them.The payment part makes the new christian well off and not in need of the rest of the family,who are still muslims.
A few years ago a muslim scholar in that area converted to christianity.
The christian missionaries are working since the colonial times.Many local hindus and muslims have ben converted.The churchs built by the british are still there.To my knowledge , none was damaged by the local muslim population.
The christian folks attend their sunday service,according to their way,and no body buggs them there.
Pakistan is the originator of islamic renaisense.The jihad version,who argue that only an islamic governament can make people to practice islam.The others say that islam is a beleif,and a beleif is in hearts and minds,and hearts and minds can be influenced by islam only by the freewill of the person itself.
Many muslims preach islam politely and try to win a person's own concent to practice islam,and here i mention that islam at the moment is only being preached to muslims,as they are in need of much improvement.Only if a non muslim shows his/her own interest,then he/she is taught islam.They don't lure people by money.

Yajuj and majuj,according to islamic theology.

My own resesrch on this topic,made me beleive that these were some short statured creatures resambling humans.The place where they are still trapped and waiting to be released is most probally somewhere in the arctic.(Norhern ice cap).They are alive there,breeding and furious.Some day they will storm the planet,and will outnumber humanity.

My favourit movie LORD OF THE RINGS features the dwarfs dwelling in subterranian tunnels.May be they are living simillarly.The earth we know is just the shell of an egg,inside there is a lot hidden and unknown.

May be we can try to find them in the arctic by usujng the same technique as used for the oil exploration.They are dwelling down there,and at the moment can't come to the surface.They are a threat to humanity,as i am a firm beleiver in their existance.
Maybe we can detonate some sub terranian nukes and try to get rid of them.

In the Qur'an, in Surat al-Kahf (83-98), it is written that Dhul-Qarnayn (the one with two horns) —who due ambiquity has been conjectured to refer to various historical figures including Cyrus the Great, and Alexander the Great — travelled in three directions, meeting villagers who complained about Gog (Arabic:Yajooj) and Magog (Arabic:Majooj) in each. First, to where the twin suns rise (to the east); second, to where the twin suns set (to the west); and a third direction, which is not specified in the Qur'an, between two mountain chains where a folk were living on the foothill, and to the north dwelt Gog and Magog (sometimes transliterated from Arabic as Yajuj and Majuj), who continuously attacked the southern people. They are believed to be two tribes of wild and destructive nature.

When Dhul-Qarnayn arrived at the third location, that folk complained about the tribes and offered Dhul-Qarnayn a tribute to build a wall between them so that Gog and Magog would not bother them anymore. Believing his reward would be from God, Dhul-Qarnayn refused the tribute but agreed to build the wall. He constructed the wall out of iron and then poured melted copper over it, making it difficult to climb or dig under. This stopped Gog and Magog from threatening the people for a certain time. There is an opinion that this wall might be in the Caucasus Mountains at Dariel Pass. According to the Islamic scholar, Mufti Ebrahim Desai, they are situated in a land of ice.

The Gog and Magog attempt to break through the iron wall every day, but when night falls and they are near escape, they stop and say to each other "we will finish it tomorrow". The next day when they wake up, they see that all the work they had done had become undone while they slept. This scenario continues every day until the day they say "we will finish tomorrow, in sha allah" (in sha allah meaning by the will of God) before they sleep, and thus when they awaken, they will finish their work and break out. It is also said that when the worker says "in sha Allah", he will not be saying it because he believes in God (Arabic:Allah), but because he is having a conversation with his son who will be named "InshaAllah". [citation needed]

They are also mentioned in the sayings of the Prophet of Islam, Muhammad, as the sign of the nearness of the Doomsday, and that they will destroy the civilizations (The Books of Sahih Al Bukhari and Sahih Al Muslim).

Yesterday while driving on the M6 at the legal speed of 70Mph,i had a glance at the rear view mirror.A VW estate car was behind me,and a lady was driving it.
After a while i noticed that she has increased her speed and is about to overtake me.All of a sudden my (Rather stupid ) manly ego made me to hit the gas hard.She had already entered the fast lane and i was in the centre lane.My car went to a higher speed and she was struggling to overtake me.My manly ego was saying "hahaha".
She had a bigger car and managed to overtake me.Then immediately,she came back to the centre lane,and i could see her staring at me with a disgust,through her. rear view mirror.I almost jumped to the fast lane , and overtook her.

She looked at me as if she was saying "are you happy now".
I often get offended by women driving very slow on the motorways.But this time i got offended by a women's fast driving.
What the heck.Easily offended aren't i?

1. People who point at their wrist while asking for the time.... I know where my watch is pal, where the hell is yours? Do I point at my crotch when I ask where the toilet is?

2. People who are willing to get off their ass to search the entire room for the T.V. remote because they refuse to walk to the T.V. and change the channel manually.

3. When people say "Oh you just want to have your cake and eat it too". Damn right! What good is cake if you can't eat it?

4. When people say "it's always the last place you look". Of course it is. Why the hell would you keep looking after you've found it? Do people do this? Who and where are they? Gonna kick their asses!

5. When people say, while watching a film, "Did you see that?". No, Loser, I paid $12 to come to the cinema and stare at the damn floor.

6. People who ask "Can I ask you a question?".... Didn't really give me a choice there, did ya, Sunshine?

7. When something is "new and improved!"...Which is it? If it's new, then there has never been anything before it. If it's an improvement, then there must have been something before it, so it couldn't be new.

8. When people say "life is short". What the hell?? Life is the longest damn thing anyone ever experiences!! What can you do that's longer?

9. When you are waiting for the bus and someone asks "Has the bus come yet?". If the bus came would I be standing here, Dumb-ass?

One day they find a window of oppertunity and sneak out of their shelter,and they find more burnt deformed dead bodies,they see absolute destruction.Friends and neighbours are dead.They make their way to a local food depot and find it burning with more scatterred corpses around it.They have no hope now.Do they?
Can you expect them to be afraid of death anymore?Or will they think that killing is wrong.They have lost their innocence,they had the worst punishment already.
If these lebonese children and youths grow up to become,serial killers or mindles psycos like movie characters as "Fraddy crooger" or "Jason" even "Chucky" ..... I won't be surprised ,,,,Will you be???
Then me and you will have a choice to give them any fancy name,such as jihadi,Muhammadan,Muslim extremists or whatever.
But they didn't choose to be treated like this.

One in every three new births in the European Union (EU) in 2004 took place outside marriage, said Eurostat, EU's statistical service, on Tuesday.

The highest shares were found in Estonia, Sweden, Denmark, Latvia, France, Slovenia and Britain, where the rates exceeded 40 percent. Cyprus and Greece recorded the lowest shares of below 5 percent. The average rate was 31.6 percent, said Eurostat.

Population in the EU was estimated at 459.5 million on Jan. 1, 2005, a growth of 0.5 percent as compared to Jan.1, 2004, according to Eurostat.

The growth was attributed to net migration, which accounted for 83 percent of total growth.

In the same period, the population of the United States increased by 0.9 percent, Japan, 0.1 percent. In Russia it decreased by 0.5 percent. The world's two most populous countries recorded a population growth: China by 0.6 percent and India 1.4 percent, it said.

These figures come from a report published jointly by Eurostat and the Council of Europe.

The population increased in most EU member states. The largest increases were recorded in Cyprus (25.4 per 1,000), followed by Ireland and Spain. The largest population fall was recorded in Lithuania (-6.0 per 1,000), followed by Latvia, Estonia, Hungary, Germany and Poland.

In 2004, net migration in the EU was 4.0 per 1,000 inhabitants. Cyprus, Spain and Ireland registered the highest rates. Positive net migration was recorded in all EU members except Lithuania, the Netherlands, Latvia, Estonia and Poland.

The fertility rate -- average number of children per woman -- is estimated to have increased from 1.48 in 2003 to 1.50 in 2004 in the EU. The corresponding rate for the United States in 2004 was 2.07.

The highest fertility rates were found in Ireland (1.99), followed by France (1.90), Finland (1.80) and Denmark (1.78). No member state, however, reached the replacement level of 2.1. The lowest fertility rates were found in Slovenia (1.22), followed by the Czech Republic and Poland (both 1.23), Latvia (1.24) and Slovakia (1.25).

I start with the example of india.This country has got the world's largest population of P.hd holders.It means that the world's largest concenteration of big minds is there!!!
Because one has to undergo about 18 years of education and then do a research work to get a P.hd.But where is india,in terms of development,it is growing fast,but the reason of it's growth is rather political than the mere intelligence of indian people.
There are many brilliant minds there with ideas,but no one to follow their ideas.Because far too many people are clever than needed,and since there are too many ideas,so there is always clash,and they can't get anywhere.It's like a turtle with many heads,which goes in circles.
Now look at china.A self made nation,despite all the resistance from developed countries.There are not too many intelligent people there(I mean no offence to chinese people,as this is one of my favourite countries).
but the few who are clever and got ideas,the rest of the people follow them.In this awy ideas come to existance,and unity is produces instead of clashes and friction.
My verdictFor a nation to develop there should be maximum of daft and stupid people in it,who can just follow someone clever,with just enough intelligence to act upon the clever person's ideas.
Many nations need a "stupid pill" instead of anti stupidity pill.
I will drop loads of stupid pills over many nations of africa,so that they stop fighting due to difference in ideas,and will give the clever pill to ten fifeteen of them.The rest of the people will follow this clever group,and there will be peace and prosperity.
Much of the developed counties don't need my proposed "stupid pill",because they are blindly following their leadership.This is called democracy,following some one,collectively.
To follow without much thinking,one should be less intelligent

China to test its 'artificial sun'
BEIJING, July 24 (UPI) -- The first plasma discharge from China's experimental advanced superconducting research center -- the so-called "artificial sun" -- is set to occur next month.

The discharge, expected about Aug. 15, will be conducted at Science Island in Hefei, in east China's Anhui Province, the Peoples Daily reported Monday.

Scientists told the newspaper a successful test will mean the world's first nuclear fusion device of its kind will be ready to go into actual operation, the newspaper said.

The plasma discharge will draw international attention since some scientists are concerned with risks involved in such a process. But Chinese researchers involved in the project say any radiation will cease once the test is completed.

The experiment will take place in a structure made of reinforced concrete, with five-foot-thick walls and a three-foot-thick roof.

Dr. Jeff Sargent and his team of researchers over at BAE Systems’ Advanced Technology Centre in Bristol have developed a material that closely mimics a gecko’s feet. For those who don’t know, a gecko’s feet are covered in hairs so tiny that they stick with whatever they come in contact with. Not only is the bond strong, it also peels off and reattaches with ease.

“We have demonstrated we can do multiple attachments with this material - you can stick it down once and stick it down again. Having a Spider-Man glove is a long way down the road, but in principle, you might have something like that”, said Dr. Sargent.

But it might still take the researchers many years before they could come out with an actual suit for practical use. According to a spokesperson for the firm, it is expected to take about eight to 20 years.

Alan Mathison Turing was born on 23 June 1912 in a nursing home in Paddington, London. He was the second child of civil servant Julius Mathison Turing and his wife Ethel Sara Turing. His early childhood was defined by his parents absence Alan and his elder brother John lived with foster families until 1926, because of his parent's constant absence due to his father's job in Madras, India.
Turing's formal eduction began at Hazlehurst Preparatory School where he was apparently an average pupil, though often pre-occupied with his own ideas. In 1926 he passed his Common Entrance Examination and began attending Sherborne School despite the General Strike of that year, which meant he had to cycle 60 miles a day to school and back. He had a hard time fitting into the public school way of life, but his close friendship with Christopher Morcom seemed to help, and for the first time Turing seemed to have found someone he could share his thought and ideas with.

All this was not to last, as tragedy struck in February 1930. Morcom caught tuberculosis and died, kickstarting a passion for understanding the processes behind human thought in Turing , and a conviction that he must now do what Morcom could not, which apparently sustained him through the crisis. His preference for science over all other subjects, which had been made even stronger than before by his friends death, often found him at odds with the schools headmaster, and almost led to an abrupt termination of Alan's academic career as, despite his apparently excellent grasp on physics, he was almost denied the opportunity to take his exams as it was feared that he would embarrass the school by failing them.

This never happened, and in 1931 Turing won a scholarship to King's College, Cambridge and began his undergraduate life studying mathematics, a subject in which he earned his degree in 1934. His time at Kings seems to have been a happy if confused one, as it was at about this time he started to become conscious of his homosexuality. His personal life remained confused, though, and he had a hard time making friends. His completion of his undergraduate course was followed by a Fellowship of King's College in 1935 and the Smith's Prize in 1936 for work on probability theory. This may have been the pinnacle of his career had it not been for his attendance at a lecture on mathematical logic given by M. H. A. Newman a topologist, during which the mythical Entscheidungsproblem posed by Hilbert was mentioned, and piqued Turing's interest.

Unfortunately a mere three months before the Turing published his paper, the American logician Alonzo Church produced his own solution to the problem, using the much more familiar lambda calculus method of mathematical logic and in doing so gaining much praise from mathematicians worldwide. This did not invalidate Turing's work though and the publication of his now famous paper On Computable Numbers, with an application to the Entscheidungsproblem contained a novel method of solving the problem by the use of a device known as a 'Turing Machine'.

In the beginning, the machine was just a thought experiment, designed to prove a very abstract mathematical theorem, but Turing realised the potentially awesome power of his idea. With a little extra work, Alan came up with the theory of the Universal Turing Machine, essentially a Turing Machine capable of carrying out the function of any of the infinite number of possible Turing Machines, and in doing so laid foundation of the modern theory of computation and computability.

At the time this was not recognised as the defining moment in computing that it is now, but one man who had seen a glimpse of the potential of the Universal Turing Machine was the acclaimed Hungarian-American mathematician, John von Neumann. He invited Turing at Princeton University, to enroll as a graduate student and carry on his work. He arrived in September 1936 and spent much of his time making a cipher machine based on using electromagnetic relays to multiply binary numbers and the rest of it completing his PhD thesis on Ordinal Logic. After earning his doctorate in 1938, von Neumann offered Turing a temporary post at Princeton, but instead he chose to return to his alma mater to start invstigating the possibility of making a machine to calculate the Riemann-Zeta function.

It was at about this time that Turing started to work part-time for the British cryptanalytic department, the so-called Government Code and Cypher School, previously a bastion of the arts, who were having immense problems breaking the German Enigma code. The major breakthrough in the cracking of the Enigma code came from work done by Polish mathematicians, who had also suggested that this work might be automated. Upon British declaration of war on 3 September 1939, Turing was stationed at the now famous Bletchley Park codebreaking 'factory', and was set to work creating a device to do this. The outcome of the project in which he was aided by another Cambridge mathematican, W. G. Welchman was known as a 'Bombe'. The success of the Turing-Welchman Bombe at deciphering Luftwaffe signals made the communications of the German airforce virtually an open book.

Turing's attention then turned to the Enigma messages being sent by the German Navy, which were more complex. He set up 'Hut 8' which concentrated on the use of complex statisistical methods in an attempt to find a way of decrypting of Naval and U-Boat Enigma signals. The first success came in 1939 when the Naval messages were broken for the first time, but it took until 1941 for the method to become routine. A minor crisis occurred later on the 1st February 1942 when the U-Boat fleets changed the configuration of their Enigma machines, and included an extra rotor. This additional complexity in the encryption procedure effectively 'turned off the lights' in the Atlantic, and took until mid-1943 before reading them became possible again.

Whilst working in an official capacity on in 'Hut 8', Turing's friend, M. H. A. Newman, managed to gain him a place for him working with the telephone engineers who had been brought to Bletchley Park in an attempt to speed up the decryption of 'Fish' messages which were used to encode Hitler's strategic communications. The combination of electronic expertise, and Turing's ideas of computability gave rise to what is considered to be one of the first electronic computers - Colossus.

The success with Fish and Enigma led to Turing's briefly working on a voice encryption mechanism with his assistant Donald Bayley, at nearby Hanslope Park, and for this and his other wartime exploits he recieved an OBE, but already been set thinking about an implementation of the Universal Turing Machine by the experience he gained whilst working at Bletchley Park. Yet again he had the misfortune of being 'gazumped' by the Americans, this time aided and abetted by his old friend John von Neumann and the EDVAC project. This time though things worked more to his advantage as the National Physical Laboratory in London set up a rival project, known as the Automatic Computing Engine or A.C.E

Turing's design for A.C.E. was formally approved in early 1946 and his dream of creating a machine that was able to able to switch at will from algebra to codebreaking, or from file handling to chess-playing. This project was doomed to fail though and the A.C.E was never built during Turing's time at NPL. Turing blamed the lack of co-operative effort for the delay of the project and turned his back on the emerging science of computing, leaving other computer projects at Cambridge and also at Manchester to take over, the latter of these ultimately culminated in the Manchester Mark 1, arguably the world's first stored program computer.

Although never totally in 'the closet' Turing became more and more open about his sexuality and openly had a relationship with a mathematics student at King's College, Neville Johnson upon his return to Cambridge. He also rekindled his interest in athletics and was only kept out of the 1948 Olympic squad by injury.

In May 1948, von Newmann offered Turing the post as Deputy Director of the computing laboratory at Manchester University, which he duly accepted. Most of his time was spent devising programmes to run on the engineers' machines, but he partly rediscovered his love of logic, implementing the Riemann Zeta function, and checking Church's thesis on the the prototype computers in the laboratory, and his thoughts on the connections between machines and human thought in his paper Computing Machinery and Intelligence which appeared in the philosophical journal Mind in 1950. This paper also outlines the now famous experiment which tests for A.I, the Turing Test.

Turing's academic direction dramatically changed shortly afterward he was elected to Fellowship of the Royal Society in July 1951. He spent his time focusing on the underlying theories of growth and form in biology. He was particularly puzzled by the appearance of the Fibonacci numbers in plant leaf structures and from his studies on the development of pattern and form in living organisms he wrote a paper entitled The Chemical Basis of Morphogenesis which is now considered to be a founding paper of modern non-linear dynamical theory.

The Government's laws prohibiting homosexuality finally caught up with Turing on 31st March 1952, when he was arrested and came to trial after the police learned of his relationship with a young Manchester man whilst investigating a break in. His defence was that he saw nothing wrong with what he had done; but rather than sending him to prison, he was sentenced to take oestrogen injections for a year, which were intended to neutralise his libido. This alone was not a problem, but this conviction caused Turing to lose his security clearance, as since 1948, the conditions of the Cold War and the alliance with the USA, meant that known homosexuals were considered to be a risk to national security, and Alan was forced to resign from his work with the GCHQ, a cruel blow for the man who had revolutionised the way that intelligence data was analysed.

His body was found by his cleaner on 8 June 1954 in his house in Wilmslow, Cheshire. He had died the day before of cyanide poisoning, a half-eaten apple laced with the chemical beside his bed.
In the memory of this great mathematician,a large computer company has an apple as it's logo,a half eaten apple.

Drug mafia has been there ever since.These people have got a lot of resources to keep going.Although drug trafficing is highly condemned and illegal in every country of the world.No government has been able to stop these people from selling and the consumers from buying , and in general this evil is on the increase.
The main source of power for these people is the immense amount of money they got.Many of them can buy whole governments,and can hire the best lawyers to defend them.
The fact that a lot of mind,innovation and ingenuity is involved in this business,can't be denied.
Followin are two examples of the evil wisdom of these people.
- Police had been informed by a reliable source abou a consignment of drugs.It was being transported in a car.The police knew the car's approximate route and was checking every car passing on the suspected roads.
As adouble check,they were using snifer dogs and manual search.
Many cars passed,were sniffed,checked and cleared.
One car was stopped by police and the dogs started barking,the police checked it all over,but found nothing.As a precaution,police detained the driver and the car.
Same thing happenned with the next car,the sniffer dogs barked,the police searched the car and found nothing.Thn the same happenned with every car passing,and the police couldn't take it anymore.They had already detained over a dozen cars and drivers.They suspected the dogs and the search was abandoned.
Later on a police patrol car found a carpet drenched in diesel.It was about three miles from the police checkpost on the same highway,so that every car coming towards the police had to pass over it.
Laboratory tests showed that the carpet was drenched in diesel mixed with high amount of heroen(a drug).
The tyres of passing cars caught the diesel mixed herorn and then they smelled like it,and the poor sniffer dogs barked on the smell,and all the cars coming that way smelling.
The drug genius must have transported his/her cargo after the police had lost hope,suspecting the dogs.

- The police were told about a building,that a consignment of illegal drugs had been hidden in it,for later removal by drug mafia.
Yet again they went there to search the mentioned building with sniffer dogs.The dogs started barking from the entrance and ran around confused.
Later investigation revealed that someone had mixed a good amount of drugs in the main airconditioning syatem of the building.Since the drug was being blown everywhere from the air conditioning system.The dogs went crazy,as they could smell it everywhere.

- These drug lords lure people , for hefty payments and use them as baits.
They will hire a person,give him/her a small quantity of drugs.Tell them a destination,and pay them for their travel expenses.The rest of the money is promissed to be given on succesful delivery of the consignment.
Then the report about the very same person to the police.While the police is looking for that person with relatively small quantity of drugs,and using all of the police resources.The drug lord will do a much bigger trade ,taking the oppertunity.The are now less likely to be caught as now the police is busy somewhere else.
The poor person gets caught,gets his/her photo in the newspapeer,and behind the scene his/her employer had done a succesful business.

Girls are sold and bought around the world for different reasons.
Since it is my blog and i am so desperate to tell the world my personal experiences .
I will mention a greek man whom i met in piraeus(Greece) who told me that he has a business of adult movies and preffers to buy latino girls.He was very sad at the rising prices of these commodities,as he said that an year ago he could buy one for about 30,000 dollers and now he has to spend well over 50 grand.

Despite the claims of the district administration, the number of migrant girls for sale has allegedly increased in this belt of Malwa. Such girls are brought to Maghania village in Budhlada subdivision of the district and kept in a small house where prospective buyers come and strike deals.

Sources say that the girls are mostly from poor families of the eastern states of India. They are brought here by pimps with a promise of marriage with a rich Punjabi man. But they are sold to elderly persons for Rs 20,000 to Rs 30,000. In extraordinary cases, the price may rise up to Rs 1 lakh.

A team of mediapersons who visited the house, posing as prospective buyers, saw seven young girls lined up for sale.

The girls, attired in beautiful clothes, were made to sit in a row and some middle-aged persons were negotiating deals.

The mediapersons, in the guise of prospective buyers were told that the price of a girl named Basanti was Rs 25,000 by Raju, a Bengali pimp.

A 50-year-old customer, who had come from Sangrur district offered to pay Rs 25,000 for a 15-year-old girl named Anita.

Raju, the pimp, said he had sold more than 5,000 girls.

Mr S.K. Ahluwalia, Deputy Commissioner, Mansa, expressed ignorance about such ‘girl bazaars’ and said he had asked the Senior Superintendent of Police to investigate the matter. Mr S.S. Srivastava, SSP, said he was probing the case and would shortly come out with the facts.

Ten years back,i met an interesting young man,about 5'6" tall,jolly and easy going fellow.
We used to hang out together,and that included drooling at girls
He met a girl over the internet.It started with a simple yahoo chat,and with the passage of time he started to spend hours chatting with her.After about a month or so,he got her telephone number and they started to see each other.
He told me all about the girl,the only thing i didn't like,apart from her snatching a good friend of mine,was that she always made him to spend a lot of money.Initially they met in a very normal resturant.Later on,the girl asked him to buy her expensive garments,and even jewlery.
This man was in deep love with her,but didn't have a big pocket.He started borrowing from friends,including me,and spend on her.
I never tried to advise him on this matter,as he loved her too much.
One day while having dinner with my friend at an expensive restaurant,the girl told him that she is about to marry another man.He was stunned and asked her if she loved him or not.She replied that,she wanted a good comfortable life and the man she is going to marry is rich.He told her that he loves her.She replied,life can't be spent on love only.
He was devastated and had not much resources,and not much time.The girl was about to marry in a months time,and the only way to win her now was to be more rich than the man she was marrying.
He talked with us friends and we asked him to forget her,and he told us that it had now became impossoble for him.
I went busy somewhere else after that and lost contact with him for a while.
After about two weeks or so,someone told me that he is in jail.
What happenned was that,he went to a drug dealer and offered him to transport drugs to an arab country for money.He got the job,but got caught on the airport on arrival.
I rang him up while he was in custody,asked him why he did this,as he was a very law abiding person.He replied,that there was no other way to get rich,quicker than this.
I asked him if he regrets.He said no.
He got 15 years sentence.But was lucky,not to be hanged,as drug dealers are usually hanged in arab countries.
The girl has now three children,and never contacted him.
My friend's prison sentence was later reduced to 7 years,due to his good behaviour and he is out now.
I rang him up after he was out of prison,and even then he had no regrets,saying that atleast he proved his love.
He has accumulated a lot of wealth in a short period of time.I think he is doing something illegal.
Even worse,he has bought a few latino girls,and treats them as meat holes.Thats not all,he sleeps with two different girls,almost every night.
10 years back he was a nice,shy well mannerd young man.Donno what went wrong.
Once i asked him why he is after money so much,and doesn't care it's legal or illegal.He replied that he doesn't want to lose anymore,just for being poor.
He still misses his love,as his face expressions changed when i asked abour "her" , he went quiet and said nothing.I never had to courage to talk about her again,in front of him.
Now for him,women are no more than a commodity,or designer clothes,whom he changes when he is bored or when he wants something new.
