According to BBC the next head of the top secret British intelligence agency has been found spying on the ladies on facebook.When contacted he complained that his subordinate aka James bond gets the best girls from around the world,and he hasnt got any such fascility.A parliamentary commitee has been set up to look into the matter and make sure that the spy bosses get ample supply of babes so that top spies like sir John Sawers dont have to trawl the internet in search of love
In an statement,the home office said that sir john sawers hasn't done anything wrong by posting his personal detail on facebook,as it may start a trend and people like osama bin laden and mullah omar may follow the example,making it easier to grab them.

I just realized that i have never done a friends only post in my Bloggity life.

I read in the news that British and US troops are engaged in a major military offensive in afghanistan,code named "Operation Khanjar" or in plain english Khanjar is a dagger.Across the border from afghanistan,in pakistan a notorious military operation is also underway in the bordering areas of pakistan.Until resently there was a public unrest about all this,and people were uneasy about Pakistani troops going after "their own people".
All has changed rescently.The public support has swung towards the army and whatever they are doing.This has never happened before.
The Pakistani public who until rescently had some sympathy for the militants,has no more for them,and have turned againt them.People are now sick and tired of bomb blasts,and some illiterate,rude pushtoons who grow beard but dont know the basics of islam,being absolutely defiant to any peaceful approach being made towards them.One militant group declares cease fire and after a few hours they start shooting and killing,and it goes on and on.
The Pakistan army on the other hand always had respect from the people,and they too are "one of us".They do their best to avoid bloodshed and refrain from using heavy handed tactics.The militant treat this as a weakness and ambush,abduct and butcher Pakistani soldiers at every possible oppertunity.On the other hand the army's approach towards the militants ia very humane.The militants dont care about who dies,when they send a suicide bomber who blasts himself up and kill people who were just minding their own business in a market or going to work in a public transport.The army on the other hand is very carefull about where they want their artillary rounds to fall,so as to avoid innocent casualties.
All this has changed public opinnion,and now people stand with the army.If the militants want to die,let the army help them and may they rot in hell forever.

There is a concept of pan islamic brotherhood,its still there,but then one has to judge who is right and who is wrong? The militants are wrong,they cant be considered as our "islamic brotheren".They are simply blood thirsty assassins with no moral values.They are fighting for their own personal grudge and anger for something about which the general public is unaware of.They claim to be fighting for shariah.Being a muslim myself,me too would like to have shariah law in any predominantly muslim country.There are ifs and buts.The public should be willing to live by the shariah law,and it should be implimented in full.The current militant style shariah advocates are only after the punitive part of shariah,which cannot be implimented if the public dont want it and if its not accompanied by a full social security system.If the shariah social security system is implimented,that will mean that part of the earnings and wealth that people have,should be paid to the government as tax,and on top of that all muslims living under such a system should willingly give their excessive money and belongings directly to the poor.And if a person sleeps hungry,he/she can approach the caliph and hold him responsible for his/her sufferings,and the caliph is obliged to provide for the needy.
When an ambassidor of a large empire visited meccah in the time of Umer and asked a man sleeping under a tree about the king's palace,he was told that the king has no palace,and when he asked wher the king can be found,he was sent towards a man sleeping under another tree with a brick under his head as pillow,and that was Umer.Those were caliphs who kept their life styles on the level of the general public so that they have the first hand experience of people's problems.
I dont think that the militants who dont even know about the very basics of islam,have no morals and are mindless killing machines can do any of this.They are people who are most of the time high on cocane and just want to fight for any reason whatsoever.

Thats the book i am reading these days.Gona be a monumental task as it has about 750 pages and i have never read any book this big in my life.The story is very interesting,its all about dragons,riders,elves and magic.This is the third book in a series of four.That means the writer crictopher paolini has somehow written a story which consists of about 3000 pages.Thats incredible,and if i try to write a story this big,and without any major plot hole,i will probably need another life or two

How real are the mass deatruction threats told by news channels and media? This US news channel is talking of some star treck style device which according to them can take out all electronic equipment in the north america,and they claim that its so simple that even the terrorists can make it.

And discovery channel claims that there is an 80 percent probability that such a weapon is available for use.

Oh well,there are bigger real threats to humanity such as powerty,global warming and water shortage.

But then i remember,long time ago i had a notorious neighbour who's tele was always very loud and he wont lower the volume even at late in the night.Me and some other neighbours made several polite requests to him,but he was not bothered.He didn't have cable or satellite receiver,just ordinary antenna.Me and another friend did some research and built a basic but fairly powerful FM transmitter and deviced a way to direct it's transmission in the direction of neighbour's antenna.All we had to use was a 9 volt battery,some aluminium foils a car ariel and a cheap circuit board.We did not damage his tele,but we did block or deteriorate the TV station's signal,as his antenna was receiving our device's transmission,because it was more powerful and nearer.Since our device was not transmitting all around,but in one direction only,we escapes being detected.There is a military base in my home town and they regularly scan for unliscenced transmitters.
For a few days all was quiet and it was fun when occasionally he mentioned to us that his tele is not working and no matter how he adjusts or tunes the TV,the picture is very bad, and then he bought a satellite receiver with a huge dish antenna,and all was back to normal,even worse

I have a wee profile on facebook,and i wandered in that unfamiliar territory.Its more about showing off and attracting attention than indulging in a discussion,sharing your experiences and sentiments as bloggers do here.There is a clan culture on facebook,people stick to a certain group and wont welcome newcomers.If you dont have a picture on your facebook profile,nobody will read whatever you say,and in blogland few have their actual pics and names posted,and thats a good thing if we here try to share the mind and thoughts of a person,without judging them by physical appearance.
Btw,how many bloggers have shagged a bird they met in blogland? and how many facebookers have shagged a facebook friend? By caparison,facebook looks more like a dating service.
Often it surprises me when i see people living under same roof,adding each other on facebook,and talking via keyboard and mouse while they can turn their neck and talk to each other.In blogland however it is rare,or so i think.

Democracy sucks.It really does.The politicians are only seen in public before elections bragging for votes.After we vote for them and they win,they vanish until the next elections.One reason is that after they become Mp or whatever they are called in other parts of the world,they are no more common people and have moved to an elite and upper class,and that distances them from the masses and hence their problems.
There is another thing.In democracy a large group of elected representatives (old farts) have come to an agreement for law making or ant betterment in the system,but how easy it is for such a large group with overblown egos (Misinterpreted as the sense of responsibility) to come to a unanomous conclusion? almost impossible.For that reason they keep churning out incomplete laws,which havent been thought about,are impractical and has many flaws.How can they concenterate while sitting in the house of parliament? They gat bigger problems of their own.Such as how to be rich(er) and how to excel in fooling the masses and how to highten their position in the elite class and so on.
I am an admiror of monarchy,an absolute monarchy.I wont suffer any more as a common man under one king or queen than i suffer under hundreds of so called representatives.One man or woman deciding it all,with the option and not compulsion of consulting others.If things go wrong at least i will know who to blame,now in this democratic world,things are so divided that i dont even know who should i blame,the MP,the minister,the officials or someone else.Everybody in power blames someone else in power.

Phone calls to friends back home,revealed that last night all of them were jumping and dancing on the streets like clowns.Reason was the cricket team's victory in T20 final.The match was played somewhere near London.Currently thre is an electricity shortage in the country (as always ),and the government had to issue special orders to grid stations for keeping the power on,or else.If the people had missed the match due to power outage,the government was likely to be toppled.People can bear sky high prices of food and fuel and wont protest,but missing thr cricket cup final would have been far serious .
Many videos of the celebrations have been uploaded on youtube,and it was fun to watch.Most likely some renowned news agency or website will pick up one of those videos and post it with a report of american fatalities in afghanistan or some terrorist attack,and claim that Pakistani people are dancing and celebrating on loss of infedal lives.It has happened many times,specially during 9-11.I saw atleast one such video on CNN,inwhich they claimed that people were dancing and distributing sweets on collapse of the twin towers,but the video was actually a few teen agers celebrating cricket teams victory.(cynical i am )

Why is that all the most important stuff in the "terms and conditions" is always written in small and almost illegible print.While all the rubbish is written in bold underlined words.They can take you to the court and even without that take money off you if you dont abide by their terms and conditions.
So many things can be said about this strange practice,but to me it is a discrimination against all those people who go to specsavers.People with a rather weak eyesight.They make it difficult for them to read the most important words in the "Terms and conditions" and it is deliberate.
Thats why i think that it should be the legal right of anyone who is about to sighn or accept a lawfully drafted "Terms and conditions" to ask for free spectacles if they feel the need for it.(Soon i will regain my sanity )

We are being stormed by all sorts of information.Information about anything and everything is so easy to get these days that it almost becomes worthless.Go back a century or so and one needed to travel and bear hardships to learn and the information thus obtained was of much value and the person was more likely to make use of it.In those days people were very specific about what they wanted to know and from where. Because gathering knowledge cost them time,money and hardships. On the contrary our minds get cluttered and distracted.We know so much and with such an ease that we dont even bother to find any use of most of the knowledge we got.At the same time we are quiet careless about what we should know.Being specific means being focused. I know bits and pieces about many things.I know that the O rings failed in the rocket boosters of challenger space shuttle and that was the main cause of its crash,and i know many things about space shuttles,but is this information useful to me? I think not. This was one example.We surf the internet,we google,we wikipedia,we read books,and we know so much,but fail to find use of much we know. All of us have short comings,things we want to do but dont know how to,and there are ways and means available to fulfill our wishes. One example is that i always wanted to grow some muscles,as i am very lean,but i rarely try to read about how human body works,and what things i can do to increase my muscle mass.There must be some way to do it,a way which suits my particular needs and my body.But instead of gathering info about this i regularly read articles about space exploration and computer parts.So my resolution for the next half of the year is that i will be specific about what i want to know,and i will think if the knowledge i am willing to gain is of my use or not.(Never mind soon i will forget all this )

The usual reply when asked the currently laughable and unexpected question "Do you believe in God?" is "Yes when i was young".I have asked this question to many people and most give the same reply.
In my observation,currently the belief in god is for the poor and insecure.
Or maybe for people considered as ignorant (I am a believer myself).
Go Africa or go most parts of Asia and everybody is a believer.Go western Europe and god has been deported.
At times of extreme desperation all of us become momentary believers.We shout and yell at the someone called god and order it to do as directed,and when "it" doesn't obey our commands we confirm its nonexistence.
Strangely enough some scientists {who may be the agents of Vatican or mecca) occasionally use this illusive three lettered word "GOD".

There is something i always believed,that everything goes round in circles.No matter how big or small the circle may be,everything ends where it started,eventually.

Are they playing up with us the non scientific general public? Why not abandon something that doesn't exist,and has no scientific proof? That something or someone we don't need because we can take care of ourselves without ant assistance.

In islam there is the concept of 40 men working under the immortal khidr and the 4 men guarding the four directions (east,west,north and south) and the most illusive commandate,a one man show who is the guardian of natural laws,he makes sure that things fall down not up and water remains wet not dry and likewise. All adding up to an important number in islam,the number 9.Four plus zero plus four plus one. An aerial shot of the grand mosque in mecca reveals a building built in the shape of a large 9.

We have our own views about armed forces,some say they are a burden on tax payers,for others they are saviors of the nation,but how do they feel? specially those who have fought an actual war.
My grand dad was a colonel in the British army in second world war and fought in the far east,most of the time in the jungles of Burma. I never saw him as he died before i was born. My dad fought with the Pakistani army against Indian army and Bangladeshi freedom fighters,and the amount of blood and gore he saw effected him so much that he could never talk about it for more than 10 minutes and always changed the subject. He could never forget the civilian he had to shoot in the head to save him from a painful death,because his guts had fallen out due to ruptured belly and trailing behind him while he was dragging himself towards a hospital which had just been destroyed in an air raid.
Are they given back enough for their sufferings? shall we argue with British soldiers about right and wrong of iraq war? Politicians sent them and they only did their duty.If anybody is to be blamed,its the politicians. Are the solders helped in dealing with their ordeal wen they come back? or are they left alone to suffer?
Do the families treat them well when they come back,or the partner simply looses interest due to his long absence,and later the teen age children give him a mouthful "for not being there when they needed him".

since i am from Pakistan,i regularly read news about the country. whats in the news? bomb blasts,war against militants (the so called Taliban) and hundreds of thousands of internal refugees fleeing the war zone.
I am not too sure about the tribal areas,but people of sawat are generally peaceful.Why such a huge military operation against them? i haven't got a clue.The people of sawaat have long been demanding islamic law in their area instead of pakistan national law,and the government has always denied. i say if the people are happy to live under shariah so be it,why try stopping them.
In Islamabad a puppet government is sitting with their chords being controlled from Washington.They could not invade us but they managed to turn us against ourselves.Should i shout anti american slogans? well whatever they are saying,eventually its Pakistanis who are acting upon it,not americans.
Taliban or not,americans or somebody else,end of the day is general public who suffers the most. people who just want to survive the day peacefully.
