These days its easy,but my grandma used to tell me epic stories of devoted people who traveled on foot and camels to Mecca.From the 19th century India,the round trip took 3 years.From china it took up to 5 years.
There is a famous account of a disabled man who travelled to Mecca for hajj,and it took him 7 years.
I have been to Mecca only once,not on Hajj,as Hajj is a set of rituals performed on certain lunar dates,once a year.
I was there in off peak season,and i went to that large circular mosque with the Black Cubical in the middle.It was late in th enight,and i though there will be less people,but i was wrong.I was hardly able to penetrate the crowd and go and touch the Black Cubical(Kaaba)., and kiss the black stone in the corner of the cubical.The stone is set in a circular solid piece of pure silver.It is said to be extra terestrial.
No i didnt come home with wings growing on my back,or some supernatural powers,but it was "feel good" trip.

What is prefferable? To see a picture or read the description in words?
About real life,probably picture is preferred.For example looking at the picture of eifil tower will be better than a ten page description.But when it comes to fiction,then i preffer words.
I watched all three parts of LOTR in two days,it was so interesting.Then i read the book.The book was far more satisfying than the movie.Main reason is that reading the words and then materializing them in the mind using our imagination gives us much more details and flexibility.

It is said "Nothing is impossibe"..Today i was looking into it..I found two instances when the greatest minds in history spend centuries to perform something impossible without realizing.
First it was "Squaring the circle" in ancient Greece,when the greek mathematecians tried for many generations to find a circle and square of equal area which can be fit inside each other.
Then there were the Arab Alchemists who for generations tried to transform different metals into Gold by chemical reactions.
Today we know that both tasks were inpossible and against laws of nature.
Although both the Greeks and Arabs while trying to do the impossible discovered treasure troves of Mathematical and Chemistry knowledge.
But it proves the the term "nothing is impossible" is a generalized terminology.
There are impossible things.

Now and again,people choose to leave our friend list,sometimes we delete them,mainly because they havent been around much.Recently i noticed some body left my list,and it took me some time to find out,and eventually i did.
I always try to find who left my list and why.That can be tricky.People have every right to leave your friend list when they want and for whatever reason.
But general atiquets and common sense says that if you break contact with someone,leave a note. Walking quietly out of the door makes you insignificant.

Today i was behind a long que of cars,and a small corsa was at the front of the line and almost nobody was overtaking it.
Drivers seemed to be relucctant to overtake the corsa.It wasn't a police car,and i couldn't imagine a celebrity driving a corsa.
It took some time,and when i was right behind the small corsa,i saw the lady driver looking in the rear view mirror,and smiling.
Then i saw why people didnt want to ovetake her..on the rear wind screen,there was a big sticker,it said.
"Go on small dick overtake me"

The contact lenses, which are solar powered and operate with integrated circuitry have thus far only been tested on animals. However, the lenses which do not impair sight, are overlaid with a display.

The idea is that they could be operated to utilize a zoom function, just like the old “Bionic Man” and “Bionic Woman” television characters. How cool is that?

One of the most amazing applications would be the possibility of surfing the web without a monitor, just viewing through the display in your contact.
